YES! Carr has been underrated his whole career and it's great to see him balling out rn.

Finally, Carr getting some love! Awesome to see it! I knew you had to break down this performance! Come on...31 of 34 (91.2%) completion rate...2nd best all time with only 2 quarterbacks over 90% in the history of the NFL with more than 30 attempts. BTW...Carr has done it twice! That was something special to see and not easy to do, but he made it look easy in this game...and not just with a bunch of easy check-downs! This has got to let you know that he is not an "average" quarterback! Thanks for breaking it down! Oh, the Raiders set up that last Ingold play by him blocking at the line all game until the end. You can tell the defensive player slowed down and was bracing for expected impact which allowed Ingold to release freely to receive the dime by Carr! Let's also give some love for the Carr / Olson offensive play-calling teamwork!

Good looking whip route by the cameraman there @7:50, gets his shoulders aligned nicely with the intended shot, gets the close up without bumping the target, really strong route running

Love the way Carr is playing and that the Raiders are pulling together in spite of recent events. Today's Tight Ends are monster sized compared to the Defensive Backs trying to cover them. They are all Basketball big-man Centers. Grabbing a ball off the back of the defender seems normal.

Is it just me or did Derek Carr's arm strength get stronger? He has made a jump in his QB abilities this year.
@bengalbrown28343 жыл бұрын
They got personal trainers that work on their core strength and that translates to a lil more velocity. My boy Burrow in cinci going into his second year has also improved his velocity. I imagine Carrs been doing the same thing.
@donavonhoward1143 жыл бұрын
Carr has always had a big arm, and he always had really good velocity on his throws with a very tight spiral. The guy can throw it 55 yards downfield without stepping into the throw. He did that against the Steelers earlier this season. Carr makes the most no-step throws in the pocket than anyone in the league. He doesn't even have to set his feet to be accurate with the ball. The truth is back in 2018, and 2019 the Raiders lacked speed, and deep threats on the outside offensively. The Raiders became a run-first team, and Carr had to play accordingly. 2020 changed all of that. Since 2014, Carr has been the best deep ball passer in the entire league statistically.

JT, great content as always. Glad you're giving Carr props because I feel he's one of the QBs that consistently plays better than given credit for... Question: can you name a few other QBs that normally grade out better than the general public perceives them after tape study?

Love seeing you give Renfroe love. I watched him at Clemson and though this guy has Julian Edelman vibes, playing in the slot, creating space or finding soft spots, and safe hands on 3rd down. Was appalled at some of the draft reviews of him.

Carr and renfroe are both underrated but they seem to act like they dont care. They just want a winning team

JT whenever I watch your videos I feel like I am being coached not simply just having a play broken down for me. Have you ever considered coaching? I think you would do well. One love to Irish brother from another mother.

To think his brother was a better QB than he was and just got absolutely obliterated by the Texans. #Coaching

Carrs better than a lot of the young qbs they go on about. Atm I got the raiders circled on our schedule it’s looking to be a banger in LV when Joe Burrow and the Bengals roll into town. Some serious playoff implications with seeding if all things continue as such. WHO DEY!

I've always thought the mesh was an underrated kill play, to me it seems like it's there EVERY time, I'm surprised teams don't run the TE or slot WR mesh more, I mean it's there at least 90% of the time...

I feel like the PA Trap couldv'e gotten called back. The pulling guard just kinda stuck his right arm out and let it wrap around lol. Oh well, refs are terrible anyway
@bengalbrown28343 жыл бұрын
They’re just so inconsistent. Some let them play and others think it’s they’re job to interfere on every play. I think the league needs to put an effort into being consistent with play calling but what do I know

This is amazing. He's back playing exactly like the guy who unfortunately broke his leg and his team's Superbowl asperations went goodbye. In comes Chucky. Lol. I'm not a Raider fan, but Chucky is aweful. Players hate him. He should put his Superbowl ring in a box and send it to Tony Dungy. Chuck is the type guy to destroy anything that's been built

Quick question JT I was watching the postgame analysis for the Eagles and Seth Joyner was saying that the eagles defense doesn't disguise or do anything, they just stay in the normal landmarks of whatever the call is. So was it Carr being good or the Eagles just being bad?
