Hi! I’m a 26yo male and a novice at sewing. Your pattern making video + this tutorial helped me make the BEST thing I have ever sewed to date. I made a pair of dating sleep shorts for my girlfriend and I am so proud of them and so excited to give them to her! Thank you SO much for your help. Seriously the best!

Wow! I’ve watched so many shorts tutorials on KZbin and yours is the first one that made perfect sense to me! You explain everything in plain, concise terms-that any beginner can grasp. Thank you so much for making these two videos!! I’ve subscribed. Can’t wait to watch your other videos. This is so much easier than a purchased pattern. I did buy a pattern before finding your video, but I was lost when it came to using it. How to use a pattern for beginners would be soooooo helpful ! But I like your way of making patterns, much better !!

So very well explained. As a beginner I was watching for two days for someone to make sense...I have found you...and you explain SO well....from the pattern making to the execution of the garment...txs sooo much. Will you be able to maybe make a strappy pajamas top for the purple short?

and yes I agree, French seams are the cleanest seams, especially with slippery or easy to shed fabrics like satin and organza. For something heavy though, like suiting or denim, I think regular seam or a flat felled seam is fine

Hi, I followed the instructions for the pattern making and continued to sew the shorts. Nice and fast, one problem the measurements are for a flat tummy so my short doesn't fit, too tight at the belly. so I am thinking to give it another try but altering the pattern a little
@jillschott3283 жыл бұрын

@@sewquaint I have the singer heavy duty. For my tension, I use a 3 because I am using cotton fabric! I just used the zig-zag in hopes it would provide more stretch because I always have a problem with stretching my fabrics and breaking the seams. I am also just very new at sewing too
