Actually it's a true story. I was HR Manager in 3 star Hotel. There were a lot of candidates coming from Airlines post lockdown saying their salary is stuck since 6 months and that's why they want a job change. Little did they know hotels , star hotels were also facing tremendous loss and We HRs had to calm our own employees down and hold their 2 months' salary including mine and it was a very difficult period. But Airline employees faced worst esp with 6 months

And lets remember producer Rhea Kapoor's need to make an Indian version of SATC. Her version of female buddy stories is from the 90s American classic are so far, Veere di wedding, Aisha ( this was SATC+ Jane Austen's Emma), Ek Ladki ko dekha toh (there was a lesbian trope in SATC with Samantha's character) and now The Crew. Rhea hasn't cracked the formula for authentically Indian female friendship based plots. Excellent female buddy stories- Bandidas ( Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz), Parched ( Ajay Devgn productions), Angry Indian Godesses, Lipstick under my burkha, Lajja are examples of movies based on female friendship. SATC based stories are getting tired and repetitive.

Tbh i had fun watching it. Didn't even noticed any man vs woman angle, i think that was more of rich vs poor angle, and the decision they took was convincing because of their guilt and existential crisis. It's not 100% but it's not a hard sell either, a good one time watch.

The story had major logic flaws, ending was rushed, the brand promos were cringe...still i enjoyed the movie. There were some genuine lol moments and chemistry and banter between the 3 was good i thought. Good to see 3 ladies pulling off a caper comedy with ease. Hope for more of the same but with better writing! Maybe you should join their writing team next time 😎 That should do the trick!
