I think platonic soulmates can exist, some people are just made for each other, but it doesn't have to be romantic.

i think it's stupid to care about romantic relationships AS MUCH as we do, because MOST relationships in our lives that are significant and meaningful AREN'T romantic. friendships, relationships with parents, siblings, other family, neighbors, fellow members of the community. i mean, yeah, romantic relationships are nice, if you're into that, but there are so many ways to have companionship. that AREN'T controlling or domineering or transactional (the way we tend to look at romantic relationships as a society)

I am a feminist. I'm almost a stay at home mum to two beautiful children. I was married before having children. I have only been with one man. I am the anti-feminists dream, until I open my mouth because I am most definitely a loud mouth feminist. Feminism is literally just about having the ability to choose how to live your life. 50 years ago, this would be my only choice, but now I have more options. If I wanted to be a business person, I could. This is the life I chose, not the one that was forced upon me. Honestly, if it was, there is no way I'd be as happy as I am, even with the same family I have. I know if I said I want to go back to work tomorrow, my husband would be totally okay with it and would help make arrangements for childcare. Also, I want to add, that a man being a good, hands on dad is the sexiest thing possible for so many people. I find my husband the most attractive when he's playing with our children, when he's helping them with homework, tidying their toys, putting them to bed. It's so attractive to see your partner being a present dad.

Lmao yeah same with me and my mom. She was a single mother but took all her savings + welfare benefits to be a SAH mom to care for us around the clock. Yet these people would hate her. The supportive partners who are present dad's never seem to complain about feminism or actively try and deny women their rights. I also want to say, as a large-chested woman, 7:50 was so frustrating. First of all, it makes my heart ache for any smaller chested girls who have grown up feeling like they need to change their body. No! I'm a 32F for reference, and I cannot tell you how long I have hated myself for being so heavy chested. I was a C cup by eighth grade, and I felt so ashamed that I got minimizing bras and did any chest exercise I could find to try to make them smaller so I could be like others. Then in ninth grade, running in PE was mortifying. I had to put a sports bra on over my normal bra because I was so embarrassed. Even now I go to the gym and wish I could wear the cute, strappy sports bras that all the other girls wear, but I can't because I have way too much and need more support than a thin layer of spandex. Not only is it this, but the physical pain of being heavy-chested is the worst of all. My posture hasn't been the best because I spent so long trying to conceal them, and they have given me so much back pain. In short, never feel like you need to have a DD. You are beautiful, you are desirable, and I can promise you a girl like me wishes they could be as lucky as you. Very few women are satisfied with what they naturally have, so please embrace your body :) It is meant to keep you alive, not please others.

Another con is that if you have and breastfeed 2 kids and hit middle age as I have, there's a good chance of them basically deflating, like old balloons. At 5 feet tall and 110, having DDD- F sized breasts was often difficult- finding any clothes that fit right just never happened and bras cost a mint- but once I'd had kids and gravity truly took over, I'm left with something reminiscent of a couple of knee socks half full of mashed jello hanging off my chest. Now I have a size that fits my size and frame but gathering them up and finding something to keep them from oozing out everywhere is impossible.

One of my sister's friends in high school actually had to begin using a walking aid because her back couldn't physically support her chest. Some men and women are fucking dumb for not bothering to learn how hard having a big chests can be. Last I heard, she got a breast reduction and although I don't know her and have only meet her a few times, I hope she feels much better now
@sapphicwriter

Another issue with large chests is how hard it is to know your size if you constantly lose and gain weight. I’ve gone through so many bra sizes I have to get UK equivalents because it’s impossible to get my size in USA unless I go online. Not to mention the back pain and having to take off bras so you don’t feel like you’re suffocating.

Honestly! I'm like a D to DD (I haven't bought an actual bra in like 5 years and I'm 21) which is a little over average but finding anything cute, fits, and is comfortable is impossible. Plus I'm a big girl as in both heavier and taller (chubby and 5'11) I wish I could find bras other than sport bras that I could wear.

Yeah I'm an aromantic and ace spec guy and this is what I think too. It sounds to me like what he "hates" most about women is an unspoken pressure to participate in an intimate relationship that isn't right for him, whereas a queerplatonic relationship is. I hope he is able to get some information on these identities and maybe learn something if that's the case, and hopefully realize that women aren't the issue - it's just he was trying to fit a square peg in a round hole so to speak.

I think a lot of us didn't know it was an option. I didn't know what ace was until 3-4 years ago. I thought I was a late bloomer, or too picky, or had trust/commitment issues but I've always thought the fantasy is better than the reality when it comes to romantic relationships. They look fun on T.V. but I've never felt that way about anyone. The things people do for romantic attention is crazy to me. I've never understood how people felt such lust that they would risk STDs and unwanted pregnancies or have affairs that destroy their marriages, or breakup / makeup /breakup over and over again with someone incompatible. It makes absolutely no sense to me. I'm so glad I avoided all that hot mess.

I don't understand people. I DON'T. Me and my partner are best friends, I would never waste my time with a guy if he saw me as second to him or inferior or was looking down on me and my hobbies and interests just because they are female. My partner likes seeing me enjoy myself and tells me I'm cute if I find cute clothes at the store. He cheers me on and encourages me to continue making KZbin videos, and podcasts, writing on my book projects, or my design/illustration projects. He never belittles me or my interests regardless if it's gaming or makeup, illustration or podcasting, or something completely else. Partners should not sigh or feel annoyed in their partner's presence, because then something is wrong.

The most idea relationship to have is one where you can not only consider your partner your lover, but also your best friend. You're intimate, equal, and enjoy being with each other. Cishet men aught to try striving for that sometime, maybe they'd start having better chances with women.

It’s absolutely wild to me how that beach mom is essentially admitting that not only does she not plan to ever teach her sons to never resist their urges or respect the autonomy & boundaries of other people but that rather she deliberately plans to reinforce the idea that they are in the right if they decide to criminally sexually violate another person. Honestly I’d love to ask her if her boys not only assault a woman who was “asking for it” but also kill her too, if she would actually still feel the same way. I mean why not right, if a woman who dresses a certain way isn’t worthy of respect, why draw the line at them deserving to live? Heck, let’s go even further and ask about how she would feel if they decided to target a preteen child or a family member. After all she clearly feels that 13 year olds aren’t off limits so when her kids become adult men & men should “take what they want”, she’s essentially enforced the belief that in their eyes that whether the “woman” is 13 or 4 or a little cousin or a little sister, all that matters is that they deserve whatever their boys do to them if they happen to commit the cardinal sin of arousing them by showing “too much skin”, self-control, empathy & the rule of law be damned.

why is there always the assumption (from straight men mostly, i've noticed?) that you can't, like... compromise with your friend/partner. why do you always have to only have some interest in common or else you cannot hang out together or discover something you both enjoy or make minor sacrifices for the sake of spending time with someone you like. i have absolutely 0 interest in the show rwby. i've never watched it, i never intend on watching it, it's simply not something that interests me. it also happens to be my best friend's favorite show. so i listen to her talk about it and i go to hour long panels about it at conventions because she asked me to and she's my best friend and i want her to be happy. and i'm sure things i like are the same way for her! maybe i'm just autistic and used to clear and direct communication with the people i care about but like... why are straight people so allergic to talking to each other. if you don't like your girlfriend's interests and she doesn't like yours why don't you both sit down and try and find something you enjoy doing together. why must relationships just be pure suffering with these people it infuriates me

About the girl who had a problem with her boyfriend liking girls photos: I have no problem with a partner liking regular photos of other people but my problem is (and this is from personal experience) when my partner not only likes and follow pages of girls who post themselves basically naked with their butts out, it’s mainly that he was screenshotting them and he did it right in front of me many times. It made me feel unappreciated and uncomfortable. But just liking a selfie of another girl isn’t bad, no.

7:44 first off. Gods I'm so sorry for you, that's such a terrible thing to be told especially when you're 14?? Wow, utterly disgusting I'm so glad you got past that and I hope he rots. Now since you mentioned EDs I'd like to share something. Every year I would go to my grandparents and every year, over and over again this whole side of my family would shame me for my body. I was always too big for them, and surprise surprise, I developed an eating disorder. Then, the year where I was at my skinniest and went to my grandparents again they told me "Well now you're overdoing it, now you're too skinny, you wanna be healthy, right ?" LIKE HECK YEAH I WANNA BE HEALTHY BUT YOU INSTILLED THESE BELIEVES IN ME LIKE WDYM ??? Then I kinda slowly recovered with the help of my mother and what happens if you don't feed your body and then suddenly eat normally again ? Yeah you're metabolism gets all messed up and your body holds onto any energy recourses as best as it can so I gain quite a lotta weight back. It was really hard but I kept telling myself to keep going. To stay strong and my weight will even out if I keep eating enough and balanced foods. Either way, now I was a little smarter knowing why my body looked the way it did so when we went to my grandparents this year I tried to explain. "I'm healing, my body might not 'look healthy' but overall I'm healthier than I was in the previous years. I'm healing mentally and my body will slowly heal aswell." But of course my grandma had it all mixed up and said that "if your body is healthy your mind will be healthy too"??? Brother please,, not how that works, at least not for me. Needless to say, I never went back and now I listen to my body and mind. I get to eat what I crave without guilt and I'm just chilling mate. So happy I figured myself out but gods,, why ? I will never understand how anyone can believe they have any kind of authority over someone else's body, it's so gross.

The whole thing about platonic life partners already has a name btw 😂 it’s called a queerplatonic relationship and it’s common practice in the aromantic community because they don’t want a romantic relationship but they still need that companionship. Like if he doesn’t want to call it that because it has ‘queer’ in the name that’s his prerogative but a nonsexual nonromantic committed relationship is not unique to that guy 😂😂

I will never understand people who think it's a bad thing if fathers are present in their children's life or to show that u care & see ur partner as an equal. Nothing is more attractive to me than an attentive partner who I can share my life with & if we decide to have kids then I would want them present in their life too because that's the point of being a partner &/or a parent. Even if u don't share an interest with ur child or partner, you should still show that u care about them by taking supporting & caring about their interests. It could just be as simple as buying them gifts of things they like, going to their games/tournaments, spending time with them during like movie or playing video game, etc
