Debbie, it's such a pleasure to be able to see the full, unedited version of these segments with you reacting to Angelina. Angelina's voice is always beautiful, but her TikTok rendition of "Crazy" at 16 is just impossibly good. And yet, believe it or not, there are many other performances by her you have yet to react to that are also impossibly good.

So, I just listened to LeAnn Rimes sing Crazy at a live concert in Scottsdale, AZ on 9/26/23, and I thought to myself no one could ever come close to doing this song justice like LeAnn can, but this version by Angelina Jordan surpasses the golden sounds by LeAnn. Angelina is by far the greatest vocalist, and that includes men, that there has ever been in my lifetime.

Hey gents… are you coming to Angelina’s September concert 🎵 in New Hampshire? It’s going to be a great venue! Could be better than Kongsberg if that’s possible.

Or back phrasing with jazzy influences. More a question from me. I’m only going with others statements I’ve read over the past few years years watching AJ reactions.

Debbie, I had the privilege of doing a Podcast with Alan and Pontus some months ago and at the end of the video it is customary for them to ask the guest what song would they like to hear to wrap up the Podcast. I chose her version of 'Crazy' at 16 years old on tik tok. Believe me, to hear you utter those words, "She sings it better than Patsy Cline", that was very courageous of you but you were right on. Debbie, there's something really crazy going on here. Every time she sings a cover it's more appealing than the original. Vocally and artistically she is supreme, there is no doubt about that. But part of it is, who she is. When we listen to her sing with those deep tones, so soulful and we watch her literally look straight at us (each one of us) she is connecting with us through her soul. Her music is wonderful, beautiful, unique, whatever you want to call it, but the overwhelming affect she has on us comes from deep within her and our hearts cannot resist. There is so much more for you to hear and, Debbie, start getting 'comfortable' in Angelina's world because her music will continue to touch you emotionally and the best way for you to react to her is to let your tears come down your cheeks. It's the most beautiful, genuine reaction you can offer and, guess what? Everyone of us listening to her and watching you react to her will start crying with you even though, in some case (like mine), we have heard her sing the song nearly a thousand times before.

The advantage AJ has over all these ballad singers, including Patsy, Adele, Rhianna, Lana, and a host of others is that when you are a true 'Jazz; specialist, this genre performed at its highest level will always result in a more intense emotion laden response to the listener than any 'Pop' singing genre singer can match.

I loved the one whee she is singing while "goofing off" with her band in a studio, or large room. She is making cute faces, and looking adorable. She was probably 14, or 15, at the time. I loved the close up shots of her face when she was showing off. I think it has over 1 million views now. It is still available if you search hard enough.

The way I think about Angelina’s abilities is like this … As listeners, we passively recognize what sounds good when we hear it. Many musical artists can ‘try this note or melody, then try another’, and decide which they prefer to put together a song or arrange a cover; but it just spills out of Angelina, like she knows internally how all the parts fit together before she ever hears them aloud.

I think AJ was born with unbelievable talent, but I think it is her love of music, that motivates her to constantly hone her vocals to ever increasing perfection, that really sets her apart. People often compare her to other artists. This completely misses that fact that she can manipulate her tone however she wishes. But it is always in service to the song she is performing. I feel that is why she touches us so deeply. Your reaction to seeing her grow up was priceless! I'm sure many of us felt the same way. I'm going to see her perform in September and I have no idea what to expect, with all the new music coming out. I just know it will be delightful. Take care. ❤❤

Angelina is the modern day female version of Frank Sinatra. He never sang a song twice in the same way because he would change the phrasing and many times some of the words to suit the occasion. Angelina's phrasing varies every time she sings as well. The amazing this is, Angelina's phrasing almost always makes the song sound better. Debbie, we all love watching your Angelina reactions!

Most adults know the Patsy Kline version. We can argue about who sings it better. But for me the real magic of AJ is when I hear one of her covers, I feel like I'm hearing that song for the first time. What an amazing, miraculous present to hand over to a music lover! Imagine hearing Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time, as an adult after years and years of obsessing over music. Or Natural Woman. Or Crazy!

A longer than expected pause is normally called a "pregnant pause". I don't know if there's a technical vocal term for it but Angelina uses it a lot as part of her taking her sweet time. OK, I Googled it, the name of the technique is a "pause". Really.

Because of the DNA she inherited from her grandmother, Mery Zamani, and don't let the color contact lenses throw you, for her natural brown eyes and hair just show her to be 'The Persian Princess' she comes forth as, which was probably the case with Mery as she grew up in Tehran. Both are supremely prodigious with Mery's genius being in poetry and art. What a 'grandmother-granddaughter' combination they are, the likes of which I have never experienced before.
