Then, if or when they become members, they can get sealed in the temple. It’s also important to keep in mind that the church recognizes civil marriages meaning that the couple can have sex or start a family within their marriage. I grew up in the Mormon church. #1, it sucks if you're not interested in being Mormon but you have no choice, #2 Steven is a terrible Mormon by church standards and I wouldn't be shocked to learn he drinks iced tea.
