Love your tutorials. Blue Painters Tape is a Great Tool for quilters. I keep "3" different widths on hand at all times. "Woot Woot" for Yvonne who does the filming. Really enjoy these. and Love the Puppies.

I love how calm you are. I'm an over thinker. Ugh! It sure can get in the way. That's when I walk away for a bit.

Amazing how many different color variations from one fabric. Stripes also make interesting kaleidoscope patterns.

If you can get on two sides of your cutting mat corner, you can place the strip set on the 45° line and cut from both sides while rotating the ruler. :) I use my design wall to arrange all my blocks before the final sewing.

That is beautiful fabric. This is going to be a beautiful quilt. When my daughter and her husband traveled to Japan, I ask her to bring me back some Japanese print fabrics. What she sent to me was not very pretty at all. I still have not found a use for it. I just learned that the Blue Willow design (used on plates, cups, etc.) was not designed in Japan or China. It was designed in Great Britain (England); and, at one time it was made in reds and white. I have always loved that design.

A kaleidoscope quilt, you cannot 'overthink' it. JUST DO IT! You'll be amazed at the results, because you never know how it's going to end up. So, just let it happen. 🙂

Another thing you can do when you do not have enough room to lay out the entire width of fabric is to cut all of your yardage in half LENGTHWISE. Then you can work with just one-half at a time. By doing that, you can also use a different point to start your crosswise cuts, and almost double the different blocks you can come up with. That fabric is a great one for these blocks.

Nice quilt 👍👏🏼👏🏼U have come along way Marc U keep doing awesome n more complicated pieces 🥳🥳 I hav a question I got the Brother PQ 1500SL n it’s been great , BUT it just started skipping stitches while I free motion I’m sewing cotton top cotton batting n flannel backing using cotton thread changed needle . Still skipping it’s very frustrating to keep ripping out stitches. Any hints what else to try??? Not many adjustable buttons on this machine 😖🙄 got this machine after u got yours n record it. HELP anyone familiar with this Please. I’m losing my patience n have 2 quilts to finish before Thee Kings Day . Jan 7 gifts Thannk U 🎅🏼🎄

Hello. I know you said you have changed your needle but I would suggest trying a needle from a different packet. Also check your tension on top. You might want to relax it very slightly. Is it a different thread that you are using or one you are familiar with? Is it the same weight top and bottom? Finally - when did you last clean / oil your machine? Sorry it's not a magic wand but this the check list I use before I accept it's probably time for a service.
