There are a lot of Islamic organizations like Council on American-Islamic Relations CAIR for example working in different countries across the world to create amity and understanding between Muslims and the people of that respective countries which sounds like a good thing. This couple sounds like good people who are sincerely trying their best to dispel the the wrong notions about Muslims floating around in Indian society. There are a lot of such Muslim/Islamic organizations in India and elsewhere trying to create a better image of Islam and Muslims by promoting social service, charity and other inter religious activity. However, the problem is there is NOT A SINGLE Muslim/Islamic organization anywhere in the world trying to promote tolerance and understanding of other faiths (Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity or Buddhism) in Islamic countries. Even though Muslims are citizens of different countries Not one organization from any country exists run by Muslim citizens of a country like India or USA in countries like Saudi, Yemen, Oman, Qatar or any other Muslim countries working to familiarize the Muslims of such countries with the culture of their country's of citizenship. Imagine this couple starting an organization in Saudi - "Society for Islamic - Indian Cultural Coperation and Tolerance" in Jeddah or Riyadh and work to show the people there that India is a pluralistic multi religious country where Muslims live peacefully with people of other religions and non Muslims are not kuffar meant to be condemned to jahanam. Just imagine different organizations run by Muslims from different countries start operating in those Muslim countries, wouldn't that actually achieve something by showing Muslims closeted in such countries by laws based on Sharia that twenty first century needs tolerance and acceptance rather than exclusivity and concepts like shirk, kuffar, murtad....? On the other hand, Of course I agree, that the current government and the current dominant narrative is actually hostile towards Muslims and religious supremacists are targeting Muslims for political agenda which I totally condemn. The religious supremacist agenda being currently promoted is despicable and actually a violation of the Indian constitution. Thanks.

I am a Muslim, I stayed in my friends home from 2006-2012 while studying. I used to eat with them, study, pray Namaaz in my room, help them during Pooja, celebrate Diwali and Holi with them, on Friday they used to wait for me to return from mosque for lunch. Recently One of my friend came to my home with for Holi celebration, we put colours on each other then we went to the house of some of our friends. In our building 4 muslim children's are here, they all played Holi. Unfortunately, you are correct that in some muslim majority places in India they don't celebrate hindu festivals but I don't focus on them, I focus on good people.

Hello my dear Muslim friend, This comment is not meant to offend any religious group. I haven't watched the TV show but here's what I think. Religion in general, does not show tolerance and doesn't spare anyone who decides to come out of the whole faith system. But unlike other religious groups,Muslims are very different. Here's why. For example, Hindus,Christians etc., are very hypocritical about sticking to their faith. Most of them don't strictly follow what's written in their textbooks but pretend like they do. (Christianity and Islam has way too many similarities and yet Christians don't adhere to what's written in the Bible and Hindus are not very serious about sticking to Sanatan Dharma) But Muslims on the contrary (most of them) are very very sincere about the Koran. In fact I was so surprised to even see this girl in the video without her hijab. I guess being an Indian Muslim has its perks. You're allowed to be a little free and not adhere to everything that is considered Haram. Most middle eastern countries don't allow that and unlike India,their laws have explicit references from the Koran and Everything has to obey with it. The punishments could be severe if you're a homosexual,infidel etc. Most things that are considered normal around the world is a crime in those countries. Why do people want Sharia in Europe? Will laws be fair if they're just taken straight out of the textbook? Imagine if India had laws based on Bhagavat Gita or something or if United States had laws framed from the Bible,how is that justified? Most Muslims are not considered progressive because of how strict and sincere they are with religion. Women are obviously considered lower than men. (There are explicit references in the Koran) And this is not the case with other religious groups because most of them aren't serious about religion. That's why people are scared of Islam all over the world.
