No lie, my best friend at the time discovered Killer Instinct : Spinals Ultra combo AT HOME on the N64. The game made it to home markets and people STILL did not know Spinals Ultra. He went back to the arcade and blew everyone's mind. Now that, is a solid port. Seriously. It may not have been identical but the playability was 100%.

I am pretty sure that Sharp X68k systems were used to code for the arcade and that is the reason for the similarity of the "ports" of Final Fight.

First saw Soul Calibur on Dreamcast when it came out. Figured the arcade would be better. Then a few weeks later I found it in an arcade and it looked so bad in comparison. I knew the days of arcades was over. Consoles had surpassed arcades.

The Neo Geo Aes technically did it first offering arcade perfect ports at home but your right the dreamcast showed that home ports could be better than the arcade.

Very true, in fact the Naomi and the Atomiswave arcade boards were based in the Dreamcast hardware.

Soul Calibur had to be on here. Good job.

Soul Calibur and Tekken Tag blew me away in the 90/00s. It's the first time I saw a home versions that blew away the arcade's versions. Tekken Tag was only around 600MB, fitted on a CD. Today's AAA game sizes are a disgrace.

10:24 Best music in Amiga version. Amiga was a great machine for arcade ports but the Sharp X68000 was the pixel perfect machine.

UN squadron was so incredibly close in almost every way and definitely one of the best games ever made 💫🏆 I picked it up as soon as it came out on the super Nintendo and I beat it several times, it made it that much more special when I finally got my hands on the Arcade version and I beat it with 3 quarters in front of the Owner. His reaction was damn that was awesome! 🥇

Great list but..... Sharp 68000 also had Final Fight? I had no idea! I always thought that the Sega CD version was the better one though.

I can't be the only one who's reminded of the flute melody from the song "The Hustle" during that first song in the Pang footage... right?

Megadrive ports for the next one please, as Mega was the arcade focused console at that age.

Yeah the Punch-Out games are a bit confusing due to their naming. Basically it goes like this: Arcade original games only ported more recently to the Switch: Punch-Out Super Punch-Out Arm-Wrestling (this is a spin-off and hasn't been ported) Original Console games different from the arcade games: Punch-Out Gold cart edition (the first version of Punch-Out on the famicom, only released in Japan as a prize giveaway. Different colors giving it a slightly different look and ends with Super Macho Man as the final opponent) Mike Tyson's Punch-Out (The best remembered version and only ever released on the original NES. I don't know why Nintendo hasn't approached Tyson to get this game re-released. Added Mike Tyson as the final opponent) Punch-Out featuring Mr. Dream (The second version released for the NES, released after Tysons contract expired. The same game but replaced Tyson with Mr. Dream who looks something like Rocky Marciano) Super Punch-Out (released for the SNES, reused some of the opponents from the second arcade game) Punch-Out (a Game and Watch vs game, also released simply as Boxing) Punch-Out (The Wii version a new game but reused fighters from the NES and SNES games with only one new character and Donkey Kong as a secret opponent) Doc Louis Punch-Out (A special downloadable game released through Club Nintendo for the Wii. Doc Louis is the only opponent. Basically a "training mode" first the Wii game) Unofficial games: Frank Bruno's Boxing (A commodore 64 game that stole several characters from the Punch-Out games and renamed them) Power Punch II (originally pitched as a sequel to Mike Tyson's Punch-Out where Mike would challenge Aliens to find new opponents, changed titles and the main characters name after Nintendo dropped their endorsement)

Buena selección, como siempre. Quitaría Super Punch Out porque realmente es un juego distinto y lo sustituiría por el X-Men VS Street Fighter de Saturn.

Considering Capcom developed Strider 2, it’s interesting they never ported it to the Saturn. Maybe even the Saturn was dead in Japan by then? Or was it because the arcade board was made by Sony?
@CubamusPrime2 жыл бұрын
I think is the arcade board by Sony and PS1 sales worldwide

super punch out snes is not a port of the arcade game it only has some fighters from the arcade game otherwise the game is more of a continuation of the punch out series

Top 8 Games that should've been on the N64 instead of the SNES: · DᵒᵒM I & II · Dragon's Lair 1, 2, & 3 · Killer Instinct I & II · Mortal Kombat I, II, & 3 · NEO·GEO MVS Games · Pit·Fighter · Super Battletoads · Wolfenstein I & II

Strider 2 isn't perfect on MAME, so play the PS1 port instead. As for UN Squadron (Area 88 in Japan), I'd say SNES port if you're alone and the original arcade version when you have friends over...
