Sydni, I learned a lot from your video. My key takeaway is that your very thorough and definitely earned every penny of that detail. I will have to try the screwball brush for the interior. Spraying the steam into the towel seems much safer for sensitive surfaces. I've been concerned that steaming could dry out and age some interior materials. Also, boxing the interior glass with the microfiber applicator is a genius idea.

Big thanks Sydbi and TRC, for me this was an hour of pure gold. To witness such a thorough view of the process with your commentary Sydni, to pickup all your tips and tricks, its really something. Big thumbs up! There were 2 moments which before I saw you do this I would definitely be afraid of / very careful to not do it this way: 1.leaving PS cockpit on surfaces for what seemed to be a rather long time - is this really safe with a wide range of interior cleaners or only P&S? 2.Bug off residues behind the front grill - arent you afraid it doing some damage long term without rinsing it off with a pressure washer? Thx
@sbgthedetailer
@sbgthedetailer 4 ай бұрын
Glad this video was helpful. 1- I can only speak for P&S Interior cleaners on the safety to leave them. Cockpit and Xpress only; don’t leave enviro clean like this. 2- like I did in the video I usually rinse it with the detail keg or yes a pressure washer if it gets behind the grill. Its just is going to depend on the vehicle. Other times I only need a brush with lots of rinseless on it to rinse the bug off away.

Really good video. I like how every step is followed by an explanation that’s results oriented, and not necessarily “by the book.” Love the quick polish on the hood, and extra protection added as an investment to your future self. 5-minutes of polishing won’t hurt to do as a favor. I use Defender a lot for the same reason; to help me with an easier detail next time. Gonna try the applicator & waffle towel for the glass.

I have seen so many detailing videos over the past two months to refresh my detailing skills before I get back in the game that I’m very sick and tired of 99% of them. This was in the 1% portion. Thank you! I saw a few “pro tips” that were very helpful . The only disappointing thing was I wish there had been a product list of the products used in the video like the canister sprayer. I’m sure I’m not in a position yet to afford buying the canister sprayer, but.I know can find it. Again, I enjoyed the fresh Ideas.

Hey Clay, I also like knowing what products are used in detailing videos. I believe she used P&S Absolute for the exterior. P&S Tru Vue for glass. P&S epic waterless wash for door jambs. P&S cockpit and P&S Swift for the interior. The canister was called “No Rub”.

This is an invaluable overview to learn and definitely re-learn pro detailing. I love the hacks, my take home from this video is multiple steps to QC the job for streaks, missed spots and leather/plastic, rims and vinyl Reconditioning. The extra value “add ons” though not ups old to custoner actually have high custoner satisfaction and retention value. For example the one step polish, the rims rejuvenation and the side name logo plate buffing are super kool freebies that don’t cost much to execute but make a helluva difference. May I ask how many months protection do you get out of Defender? I am a big fan and will follow this workflow to educate my team. Also your home center is absolutely awesome, really love the retractable vacuum hose and how it’s racked away on the wall mount to avoid clutter and from hoses and vacuum machines. You really need to share how you set that up, I think I am not the only one who has asked about those. Pls reply us , I will follow you on IG and please keep spitting out viral detail content 💪🏽

Always pickup a few good tips on every pro detailer, your emblem cleaning technique is a great touch. Only takes 2 mins and it’s something you can point out to the customer. So Bead Maker with a Clay Towel decontaminates the paintwork if the car is wet?
@Aaron-cc7yq
@Aaron-cc7yq 3 ай бұрын
You can use almost anything with a clay towel for mechanical decontamination. Whatever spray/liquid you use is just to provide lubrication for the clay towel to glide around on the surface, the clay towel itself is what is doing the decontamination.

Question: I love the idea of Absolute being used in a steamer, so I just bought both for car detailing. Do you leave Absolute in your steamer 24/7? I would love to leave Absolute in my brand new McCulloch steamer 24/7 and not worry about a side effect that would ruin and/or shorten the life of my steamer. And if I can, I’m assuming 256:1.

Absolutely not, it’s fine grade synthetic clay and we’re using Bead Maker as the Lube and Sealant- so no marring is caused. You would not use traditional clay bar without polishing but the clay towels and sponges are designed to be able to be used with out polishing

The first thing you should do is take your Dyson V15 vacuum, and vacuum the mats, so no dust, and dirt can escape onto the carpet, your floor, nor driveway. We have to always be clean. P.K.
