We spent $20 on our marriage license and were married by a judge. It was a Thursday night, we were both active duty in the Marine Corps, so he had returned from a week in the field around 1730; showered, dressed up and we drove to to the judge. Afterwards, we drove back to the barracks, changed into t-shirts and shorts and cleaned our rooms (Thursday is called 'Field Day' and Friday is Inspection Day, in the Marines.) We had a 4-day weekend coming up for Easter (called a 96) in which we would be cut loose at noon on Friday, to return 96 hours later, at noon on Tues. We drove from Camp Lejeune, NC to Indiana, to his home, to celebrate. That was our honeymoon. We just celebrated 30yrs this past 8th of April. Total cost, maybe $50, including gas and snacks.

I won't shed a tear for her. Its a fraction of their wealth and they can get out of debt tomorrow by liquidating assets within the month. You have to put into perspective their current wealth. They are millionaires...they aren't going to have a $1000 wedding. The 112k+40k isn't even a problem.
