I think, Telugu language words have roots in sanskrit language, lots of words are similar to Sanskrit or Hindi. Probably same with Kannada.

Its not pronounced as "Sahas'T'ranaam". It is "Sahasranaam". There is no "T" in the word. In Devanagari it is written as "सहस्रनाम". स्र is Sra ; Stra will be written as स्त्र, as is written in Stree - स्त्री। सहस्रनाम.
