I am no prude, but the colorful language Krishna Das uses in this podcast, makes me wonder if these are petals of devotion or offerings of prashadam, for the "spiritual experience." Many claim to have had a vision of the "Virat Roop," yet their actions belie the claims. So many are charmed by Americans singing Bhajans and chanting Sanskrit prayers in their "civilized" accent that they are easily drawn to these outsiders. Great spiritual persons like Swami Chinmayananda, Ranganathananda, Dayananda Saraswati, and a host of others never spoke loosely that they had these "experiences," and probably because of that, they are followed by millions. In terms of spiritual music, India is blessed with some highly trained, marvelous musicians and vocalist who can put you in a state of ecstasy with their spiritual singing, but many of us, still under the spell of a colonial mentality, prefer the music of foreigners. To each his own, enjoy your bliss.
