It was the King of Gandhara (Ambhi) who invited Alexander to come & invade India. Out of his personal rivalry with Paurava Kingdom, he did this. He thought Alex would Conquer & hand over the region to him. 😅 Instead Alex was impressed with Porus Bravery & allowed him to rule.

Chandragupta's wife Durdhara was daughter of his eldest maternal uncle or of his distant relative and their son was Bindusara. Durdhara is called really passionate towards Chandragupta. Bindusara's wife Subhadhrangi is also called of Maurya lineage and Mura, mother of Chandragupta is also called of Moriya lineage. It hints that these queens were commoners and not princesses. 😱

Ancient Greeks and Eastern Byzantines used a lot to give their daughters as gift to foreigners it was very common or courtesans as spies this habit passed later to Russians from Sophia Palaiologina! Helen was equal to Chandragupta Maurya he heard her voice and she gave birth to some daughters too its disputed if she gave birth to a son too but most likely no cause if she had he would have been the first mixed Indian/Greek King! I can sense so much hatred being directed towards Alexander, but guys wait .I know we have this inferiority complex taking in consideration our colonial past so we just wish to glorify our own nation in the false name of patriotism but does patriotism teach us to consider others inferior to give ourselves a superior outlook. What Alexander did at that point of time was something which no-one else could do.This is a very underlying fact that India had huge kingdoms further east i.e.Nanda Empire ruling Magadh .After defeating Porus at the battle of Hydaspes in the north west .He asked his soldiers to move and conquer the remaining part of India but they denied as they were on expedition for more than a year . Given that even geographically Asia , particularly,Southeast Asia has a dense population and more biodiversity than Europe so it was a great possibility that Alexander could have lost but he had the courage and passion to conquer the world which by itself is a fact which cannot be denied and if we talk about death in history it is not at all clear what the real cause of his death was . I have come across Indians even talking ill about their own rulers or great men but we should start looking at the things with a greater perspective.Just imagine if Alexander were Indian,we would have shared proudly with the world . Just common and look at the whole Earth as our iwn family you will then start respecting achievements which humanity has made from one place or another . I meant no offense to anyone and nor can I change someone's mindset but I can atleast advocate for the change

This guy historically knowledge is rarely backed up by anything reliable. Recently he was claiming Pashtuns in Afghanistan as Indians. He is another grifter from whatapp university. I don't know why people follow him. 3:10 again he is wrong about that. Under Cyrus the Great, the founder of the vast Achaemenid Empire, the Persians conquered parts of the northern Indian subcontinent, roughly corresponding to modern-day Pakistan.

You clearly don't have any knowledge of Alexander's conquests apart from this video. He was a powerful leader and a strategic genius. In a decade he conquered the Persian Empire. You can abstain from calling him Great but you would be a fool to call him a loser.

Not, great but, can't call him a loser!!! Do, u even know what the distance between India & Macedonia is ??? Simply, Saying him a loser is disrespectful towards the journey, people, culture & Influence he made. Even, today 75% of Tribes in Central Asia, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Afganistan & minor Pakistani tribes have Indo Greece genes. Ur words are a complete disgrace !!! Buddhism was in its peak during the Indo-Greece kingdom which also ruled North Indian plains Including Varanasi after the demise of Mauryans later empire. They were later conquered by Huns

At last someone says something logical. Everyone just show their hatered towards Alexander. But every history books you find the great warrior Alexander. Except this bullshit podcast. And worst thing is he glorified the bloody mass murderer Cheng i's Khan 🖕🖕🖕 He tried to portray Cheng i's khan as hero & Alexander as a murderer.

Mate, I am from England, studied history till college. Abhijit Chavda is in no way what you claim. The guy is very smart. And for your information, it is important to have a team of researchers and historians. Do you think Western Historians don't have other sources to cross check information ??? It's normal. However, yes, he has given one version of Alexander , which is mainly from the Greek perspective. There are accounts that in his Battle with the Indian King Porus , Alexander was injured and from there he retreated and died of his injuries on the way back to Greece
