Talking about werewolfs yes it’s true …… in Uttarakhand there is an unknown creature spotted by people at night which is very dangerous and takes their cattle along to eat. People say that it’s not a bear it’s not tiger or any other big cat it’s something else. They say it’s big in size and can walk on 2 feet like humans. My grandfather spotted one 25 years back.

03:24 Jeetu Bagdwal is popular in Uttarakhandi folklore. Another incident can also relate to fairies of upper reaches of hills that Jim Corbett described in his book but I guess his group misunderstood and gave it the name of Demons of Trishul Mountain. This incident happened when he was on a month long hunt in foothills of trishul mountain along with his 14 other associates in the year 1918. At one particular night when Jim went to sleep in his tent, his associates were singing loudly, shouting and beating of tin canisters till late night, all of sudden something came and entered the mouth of one of the shouting guy named Bala Singh a man in his 30s and very Jolly person, this thing went to his stomach and tried to get out but couldn’t. When in next morning everyone was kept silent including Bala, then Jim sensed that something must have had happened and asked his servant by calling him separately. First his servant denied anything happened because Jim was not a superstitious man but later agreed to tell what happened And said that Demon of Trishul Danda(Mountain) entered Bala Singh’s mouth and he swallowed him, all group men tried to drive demon out but couldn’t. For next few days Bala Singh was not speaking to anyone and everyone in the group fearing him, so jim Corbett decided to cancel the month long hunting and returned to Nainital with bala singh but his condition not improved after many efforts by his doctor sister and other doctors present in Nainital, they finally sent this man to his home which was eight day on-foot journey, three weeks later the news came to Nainital by the guys who accompanied bala singh to his home that on reaching his home everyone including his relatives and friends were gathered around him, he had suddenly announced that the demon wanted to be released to Trishul and only way possible is him to die. He just lay down and died and next morning cremated by family. In my conclusion this incident indicates the presence of fairies, which they mistakenly thought to be demons.
