HeartSupport - Music to Improve Your Mindset

Therapist analyzes the lyrics to Money Games 1,2 & 3 by REN to discuss how hypocrisy + lack of empathy always leads to tragedy. The solve for this is humility and to look inside ourselves for the ways in which we participate in our own suffering and the suffering of others.

The money bags over everyone's heads throughout the trilogy represent being blinded by greed. When he drew the eyes on in part one, he saw himself as part of the problem. When he took his mask off in part three, he was staring into a mirror and saw himself for who he really is again. Everything is intentional with Ren 🙂 Loved your reaction, as usual!!!

For me its more that the bag makes them anonymous, which means it could be anyone or it is everyone, so we are all part of the problem. It just makes it all so general, there’s no specific person, but we all are part of of it

Really good analysis! So many reactors hear this and go on to talk about those bastards over there (them) who are kicking the little guys (us). Almost nobody gets the point of this trilogy that "we're all part of this old money game." Well done. I learned something important from you as well when you labeled the first "hypocrisy," the second "empathy," and the third "humility," and put them together in an equation. You drew some extra, unnoticed meaning from this trilogy. Thanks!

I have seen quite a few who do realize That WE are ALL part of the money game. As the saying goes, don’t hatefully the player, hate the game. Being a capitalist and being greedy are very different things. Likewise in MG 3 when daddy says to his 5 y.o. “ You have to learn to be a man; a man who works for what he wants.” I think that it’s lost on a ( most) 5 year olds but it isn’t wrong. Think about the inherited stupidity and laziness that comes with inherited wealth.

ok, the clips at 13:56 had me rolling, great job :D Also, these songs remind me of a classic tune by Freeland called We Want Your Soul. The original video is decent. But then someone created an absolute masterpiece of a fan-made video with great social commentary told through each and every clip. The new video really brings out the "bread and circuses" theme of the song. If you're feeing up for a longer video, you might want to first dig into the original official video with its shorter edit of the song at 3 minutes. Then watch the fan-made video which also features an extended version of the official song including audio clips from Bill Hicks and their related video clips. The original is a great sample of the overall idea of the tune. But the fan-made vid really knocks it out of the park. It's one of the best unofficial videos I've ever seen. Truly a masterpiece. I just made a donation to your cause. I hope that's enough. Let me know if you need more. Thanks! I think one of the most important things is to understand what words mean. Hypocrisy and lack of empathy stem from ignorance. The important point here is with empathy, greed never takes root in the first place, being thrown away because its damaging. There is also the fact that some have less emotional empathy, where i dont know what to do, but over all, schools and parenting have to change.

Masterpiece of a reaction! I am humbled by your breakdown and summation 💗 I feel it like knots inside me. Many of the knots tied between my soul, my body, the world and cosmos were helpful at first. But I've outgrown a lot of them and it trips me up in the world. I spent a large portion of my twenties somewhat recklessly untying knots without knowing myself or the world enough to know what purpose they were serving. In my thirties I tied a lot of knots as a fear response. The thing about this analogy is our patterns and programs know the knots intimately while it's our biggest blindspot as a person. There is no way to navigate the untying and tying of these soul knots without life experience, self awareness and humility. Making this work a priority in our lives (I believe) is the best thing we can do to affect positive change. Thank you for your part in this 🌟

"The Problem could feel so big... when we are talking about political issues". That's the beautiful part of Ren. He agrees with you and his way of showing it is during his last album release prior to it he had a contest where people could win money. In the contest people could work together. In fact he encouraged people to work together to figure out the puzzles. To show when we want something we will work together with others to achieve something we cannot do alone. Then he released a Poem called Eden that show cases what you talk about here. How a lot of people feel like we can't change anything and problems are too big. But that we are capable of doing great things and achieving things out of our reach. I always feel bad when someone does a reaction to Eden without context or thinking its a song instead of a Poem.

@@Alikespan I think Ren gets the top spot (in my opinion) because he can do it all. A master at multiple instruments, can sing every genre, has a big range on his voice, a bardcore story teller that no one has matched, beatboxer, rapper, using his emotions and lyrics. Sound engineer, makes most of his own beats, acts, directs and produces his own videos. He has done this for years all while fighting a chronic disease. He is a human juke box, he just needs his guitar and his voice to crank out songs like a radio. Being emotionally attached to another artist is fine, I'm just comparing the total talent.

Great reaction! For further insight into what Ren is calling us to do, check out Ren's video calked Eden. It is the last 'prize' in the social media treasure hunt he had people playing online to market MG3. The treasure hunts were set up in such a way that each hunt required so many divergent skill sets that online communities started developing that included all these skill sets to solve the riddles. The treasure hunt showed the power of a group working together to something that just one person can't. Eden really is the culmination of MG1 2 & 3th. It so compelling and hard to explain. It gives me chills every time I listen to it and gives great insight in to Ren's message. Would love to watch you react to it!

Love your math equation analogy with these 3 songs. It’s definitely humility. It’s the only way to solve this problem.

That ending to Part 1 might be hard to watch, but it literally instantly proves the point you made seconds before about the message of the song.

Great reaction - I am conflicted in recommending any REN songs - I would love to see you react to Sevens Sins or Crutch or Troubles for the breakdown and insight, but would also love to see you have fun with Losing it or Power but also the Big Push I shot the Sheriff which is suuuch fn

I completely lost it at the starship troopers bit, hilarious. Bust out laughing in front of my dog.
