Hell yeah, don't apologize! I absolutely love your reactions, questions, and theories, even if they aren't always correct. I look forward to these videos every time! Also, to clarify about Jayce this episode: this episode is basically showing you how Jayce got to the point where he was willing to kill Salo in episode 5 and Viktor in episode 6. When he asks the hooded figure to "send him back", he means back so he can go and destroy Hextech and prevent it from destroying Piltover, like it did in the universe we see him in. That's why he has his typical shorter hair and no beard at the start of episode 7, because it all takes place before he went crazy.

Heimadinger sees always the past, so he is sent to the Past. Ekko lives in the Moment, so he is sent to the Present. And Jayce is focused to the Future, so gess where he is sent?

Jayce saw a nightmare to try to prevent, and Ekko saw a dream to try to create Because Vander founded Zaun to be a "thriving, healthy community," and Heimerdinger founded Piltover to be a "bastion of enlightenment and equality." THIS is what they always wanted the two to be from the beginning, not the mess they became in the main timeline. And now we know that it IS possible, and achievable in just a few years too, if the leaders of both cities genuinely come together with good intentions and try their best to create a better future. Hopefully, this can still be the case for the main timeline as well, if the new leaders can just get their shit together

It's probably already been said in comments, but from the perspectives of Jayce, Ekko and Heimerdinger, this episode shows what happened to them after they were "zapped" when they encountered the wild rune in episode 3. We see Jayce say at the end of this episode "Send me back. I won't fail, I promise." and then we've seen in episode 6 what happened after he returned.

Everyone loves this episode because it's such a happy break (At least half of it is happy) from all the stuff going on in the main timeline. Here's some trivia details: - In the game, ekko's ultimate ability is to rewind 4 seconds. - In the game, Heimerdinger's ultimate ability is to upgrade inventions - In season 1, Ekko's fight with Jinx lasted 4 seconds. - The dance he had with powder was played at 4 frames per second. - ekko's name is spelled with KK because it sort of resembles the standard 'rewind' icon.

To clarify a few things that was missed. The dance scene was done at 4 frames per second, which you know is the same time amount that echo’s device can travel back in time for. If you go back to episode 6 and slow things down, you will see flashes of his experience in this episode. Unlike Echo and Heimer traveling sideways to a parallel universe, Jayce is sent to one in the future, and shows what happens if he fails the task he is sent back to do in episode 6. If you look closely at the pendent Powder is given, at first it’s only a blue flower, but on closer inspection it’s the image of Powder and Echo.

At the opening you can actually see the forshadowing for Vi death. In the scene where 2 ray of purple light shining on Vi face. Normally its trying to make a V but in this Ep, it turns into an X instead.

It should be noted how this utopic future came to be: - We know that Hextech was never invented. - Because of the incident, the situation never escalated as it did in the first three episodes of the series. - Chances are that either Vander or Silco would've reached out to one another out of grief. With Vi being the daughter of a dear friend to both. Allowing them to mend up fences and unite the city with both charisma and cunning. - Also Heimerdinger arrived 3 years before Ekko, being aware of the disparity with the undercity, he really took an active role in building a better future, culminating in his apparent retirement from the council to just foster Zaun's talent.

I don't know if anyone has commented this already, maybe on patreon perhaps, but each time Ekko goes back everything actually happens he just reverses the time, you can see he was hit by the impact when heimerdinger exploded cus there was dirt and fur on his face even after he reversed the time. So he actually experiences impact and everything just goes back to before he reversed if I csn explain it like that Also love the reaction!! Exactly, like when (spoilers) he gets clotheslined by Viktor's soldier at like 40mph, he goes back 4 seconds but is still bleeding from his face. If Ekko got stabbed and then used the Z drive, he'd go back to before he'd been stabbed, but he'd still have the stab wound.

YES! So many people don’t realize how much they can learn from their children. Being with children, in their world, is true freedom-because children live in the present. And the more I understand that, the sadder I feel when I think about the world we live in. We constantly stress over things that don’t really matter, forgetting what’s truly important. I listened to a book called "The Power of Now", which has helped me tremendously. It wasn’t until after reading this book that I truly learned to be happy, appreciate myself, and genuinely fill my own cup. The book is about living in the present moment-why it’s important and how to do it. It’s a fantastic guide. BUT the greatest teachers you can have are children. So every day, I try to learn something from mine. I haven’t been this happy since I was a child myself. And as master Ougway from Kung Fu Panda said: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. There is a deleted scene from this episode, where we learn that actually Ekko have tried to save Powder (Jinx) from Silco's house, but she said 'I don't need to be saved, I am Jinx now'. Then Ekko tried to force get her out, but she slapped him just like Vi slapped her in season 1 episode 3. That's why Ekko said 'There is no Powder anymore, there is only Jinx' when Vi returned and wanted to save her.

I think one thing to consider is to pause and talk about a show after a scene is done. I feel like you pause really soon after a scene starts and give commentary or ask questions that end up being explained almost immediately in the same scene. Basically, I suggest not jumping the gun an analysis before the whole scene is done.

When you feel like you are losing the plot, you have an urge to pause the video and try to process what you do know to make sure you aren’t missing something. To quote Ambessa, “Let the war unfold.”. We will deal with the punks in the comments. Give the scenes and yourself some room to breathe so you can enjoy the show for what it is. You don’t have to get it, it’s art, you experience it.

This episode is the second biggest rug pull in the show and it happens as soon as the opening credits end. Everyone who watches it feels that relief/hope when Heimer shows up because you need some answers just as much as Ekko does.

Ekko who had lost his hope on Jinx and Zaun and only cared about his community to survive for another day, got to see another version of them that is good and beautiful and is worth trying to save. Now he has to return and face a broken Jinx with Zaun and try to save and heal them Also Jayce got to experience what Viktor went through in his life by having to climb from the lowest part of Zaun to top of Piltover with a broken leg, just like how Viktor did

My favorite part of this episode is the thaumatrope Powder is playing with at the end (the spinning illusion thing that shows 2 separate images and when you spin them - they become one image) which is such a great visual storytelling device to show she *knows* Ekko isn't "her" Ekko, and that their time together is brief. It makes me wonder if that Powder will find another universe with Vi now that she has everything she needs to make that happen by the end of the episode.

powder having the hextech gems in the end may show it can still be created in that universe but, ultimately, i think it shows that if the undercity gets to have peace and a real deal with piltover, powder would never be jinx (i do know greavance of her missuse, and so, silco's misscheaves is the ultimate turning point to that, so forgiveness is another great topic of that episode), she would never try to weaponize anything. It may show that oppressed people can be driven into violence, and that the initial sin, the one responsable, is the one that pushed those individual into such a corner that they have to make and use such weapons. Ofc then, in main timeline, first to create it were the topsiders, but it's in a way still a continuation of that path i just told.

In the AU version of Silco's character design, his "bad eye" has clouded over and healed naturally, leaving him blind in that eye. This stands in stark contrast to the original, where he turned to Shimmer to preserve its functionality. Yet, this comes at a devastating cost: over time, Shimmer erodes both mind and body, leaving users physically deformed and mentally unhinged (we can only speculate how much this affected Silco, since he only took it in small doses but still). Silco's reliance on Shimmer to maintain his damaged eye symbolizes his refusal to let go-not just of the eye's functionality, but of the grudges and worldview that define him. His eye and his use of Shimmer mirrors his cycle of dependency of holding onto something that needed to be let go, and it becomes this metaphor for his inability to move beyond his pain. The AU, by contrast, shows a Silco that allowed his wounds to heal, even at the cost of his vision- and I think that's so poignant.

One world is a world without hex tech, the other is a world dominated by it. In the world Ekko was in, it can be assumed Jayce gave up pursuit of the tech after it cost a child (Vi) her life. This possibly also resulting in a worse sentence for his reckless creation, and Piltover realizing their keeping Vaun under heel is causing children to lose their lives in desperation.

I would like to share that in my experience I ended up putting the episodes in the wrong order when watching, and this episode 7 I only watched after the next episode... An order error that I am very grateful for, as it made for a simply fantastic experience which I always recommend people to try at least once. So since "what could have been" was kind of the theme of this episode, here's my invitation to watch the next episode imagining what it would have been like if that was the opening episode of this 3rd arc. What information would you not have yet, what answers would you have instead... How the rhythm of the whole would be affected... Please note these details if you can remember. But if not, I just wish you a great experience all the same. ❤ And thank you so much for this journey and for sharing it with us.

Essentially, in this universe, everything happened as it did in the main universe until the explosion in the apartment in episode 1 of season 1. Vi's death from the explosion was the fulcrum, the fork that split the two timelines. Because Jayce's research inadvertently resulted in a death, there's no way the council would've let him off with a slap on the wrist, let alone continue his research. He was either banished from Piltover or, most likely, imprisoned. Thus, Hextech was never invented. As to why Zaun and Piltover both seem to be living in prosperous harmony, I think it may be a combination of sympathy for Vi's death in that the Council may have opened their eyes to just how bad and desperate things are in the Undercity and may have motivated Piltover to extend solidarity to the people of the Undercity. Also, Heimerdinger from the prime universe had been in the alternate timeline for several years and likely would have used his knowledge and insight to help improve relations for both cities. Silco forgiving Vander requires some mental gymnastics. We assume Silco managed to read Vander's letter but we have to remember Vander tried to murder Silco. Knowing how close they were with Felicia, I think Silco may have felt some solidarity in the loss of Vi as she was Felicia's daughter, not just some random street kid Vander adopted as we were initially led to believe prior to season 2. I still don't like the way Vander and Silco were recontextualized with the 'Blisters and Bedrock' flashback and the 'Remember Me' water color music montage in season 2, episode 6. Going back and rewatching Act 1 of season 1 with the new information in season 2 just doesn't sit right with me and I firmly believe when they were writing season 1, they had no further motivations or details in mind other than Vander realizing the cost of his rebellion and that to continue would get more people killed and potentially result in more orphaned or dead children, which is why he decides to foster not only Vi and Powder but also Mylo and Claggor.

@@DeadlyAlpha I've heard a lot of other people theorycraft Ciatlyn's death but there's two things I'd like to point out. 1) In the prime universe, Caitlyn was clear at the end of the hall when the explosion occurred, not standing right next to Jayce. She had dropped a few things from the box of doodads Jayce purchased from Benzo's. It's possible in this timeline she hadn't dropped anything and actually was standing next to Jayce but even so, I imagine her plot armor is strong in both universes. 2) If Caitlyn had died in that explosion, there's NO WAY IN HELL Cassandra would let that slide. She'd have enforcers patrolling the Undercity 24/7 and restricted access at the bridges. It would not be the utopia we see in the present.

little bit of trivia on the making of Arcane. According to Christian Linke (stream with Necrit), on average, Fortiche is behind 30% of the writing of the episode... According to a Fortiche director, episode 2x6 and 2x7 were the one when they were the more involved in the writing... one could deduce that Fortiche were way above the average in the writing of those and that would explain how the "feel" of the serie is different

Her parents are gone. Technically it's ironic when Ekko asks Jinx "was it you?" Because it technically was her...just more indirectly. She was the one who grabbed the crystals & accidentally dropped them which caused the explosion in the apartment. But in this alt universe unfortunately the blast did kill Vi. It's kind of ironic how j this universe and in the main universe Jinx messing with the hexgems when she was just trying to help and aid her siblings indirectly kills them. Except instead of Mylo and Claggor, it was Vi. :( 18:37 Now mind you there is a 6-9 month time gap between Act 1 & 2 so these guys have been gone and maybe in these alt realities for a while...maybe not Ekko it seems like he wasn't there for too long and also times seems to be different her but still 19:09 Notice how he's talking to this Powder like he would Jinx because he's recalling his realities Jinx that despite her destructive nature he still admires her intelligence, her inventiveness...I mean they grew up together...when he got the chance to kill her, he could not do it because of how he felt about her (all the mixed feelings). 19:41 EXACTLY ...even tho they do have their differences the writers talk about when it comes to au Powder and Jinx that they are the same in the important ways it's just one had a different less crazy toxic environment. 19:49 These things used to be sentient humans and that's low-key what Jayce saw when he looked at Salo and the people of the commune he saw them as shells of their human self. Also Heimidinger is possibly not dead because his species, he's Yordle, are basically immortal. Overrated episode. I understand it was to the taste of shippers, this is fan service after all. I get that Ekko seeing that Jinx is redeemable was necessary for what they had written later (remember that they could have written something else too if they went another road for ep. 7), but them being together was not necessary. It felt out of place imo, at least unneeded. They could have been friends. It looks to me like they wanted to please shippers. If you listen to the fans every single character in the serie has to have a love interest, nobody is allowed to be single... Still better than the prison scene (any other moment would have been better for that scene). The song is cool though.
