Years ago my husband told me that he was no longer attracted to me because of my weight. It crushed my soul and I've been carrying that around for over two decades now. They stopped physically loving me. I recently healed myself by telling them how I felt about what they did to me. They got angry at me for what I said. I let it go after that. But they have now realized what it did to me, to us, and they regret it. They think I've been a nothing but a bitch to them since then. I told them I was hurt and wanted to hurt them as much as they hurt me. I've let it all go since that conversation and have opened myself up to healing what's been broken for so long. That resonates with me too, I was twenty two with a 22 inch waist when I met my future partner in 1975, fast forward 30 years and four teenagers later , I started to gain weight because I got Hashimoto’s illness. When I met my partner friends reprimanded me for dating him because he was overweight and they said to me you could be a model. I wasn’t interested in physical appearance at that time. I fell for his character and his handsome face. We had a great life together but he criticised me for putting on the weight in mid life. Then he got diabetes and was talked into getting by pass surgery by a doctor who should not have recommended it for him. His vanity won the day and the complications from the surgery killed him two years ago. I am 😮heartbroken as I always loved him just as he was.
