The DeWalt battery is 20V max. They can claim 20V in the USA but not Europe due to how the standards are written. The USA 20V max and the European 18V battery are the exact same batteries with different stickers. I don't think the extra speed is from the battery.

They were 65 bucks on amazon when I got mine it's an awesome little toy really enjoy mine. There's no increase in voltage the dewalt 20v chargers charge at 20v the batteries still only put out 18v. I'm gonna try to rig my 60v battery up to it and get it to run full juice

I have the ryobi uproar. The throttle issue happens when the throttle is released and press again quickly (double tapped). All you have to do is release the throttle for a couple seconds and press it again. Tapping it over and over again won't help.

Yeah buy it, it's a super value for the money because it's pro hobby grade and really really fast. All standard hobby shops sell different new tires, wheels and bodies etc.for it. if it acts strangely after hard driving let the motor cool down because the auto protection circuits have kicked in. Control wise just find a park, church parking or dirt lot away from any possible radio interference and it should be fine, it's also not good for small residential streets it's much too fast and hard to control at 30mph. But this thing is a blast! compared to other similar RC cars at hobby shops its 1/3rd the price, buy it

It is not pro hobby grade i have a traxxas nitro sport and a redcat earthquake those are pro grade trucks but this is still pretty cool since it can take a dewalt battery id assume it could have a whole mass of gains from using flex volt

18v and 20v are the same. 18v is what it's rated at minimum charge and 20v is the rating at maximum charge. It's why Dewalt markets theor tools as "20v Max".

Truck responds great to the throttle but why does it not respond well to steering commands. Mine turns half the distance as yours... how do I troubleshoot this?

I used to sell RC cars, Your throttle and control problem is caused by radio interference in the area, if you take it somewhere else that should solve the problem..

Trash honestly i bought one a few years ago broke in like the 5th outing because i crashed it into a curb and the don't sell replacement parts not durable i have much more durable cars like the hosim 9125 for the same price has dual 390 motors and achieves the same speeds on 3s (11.1v) it's hobby grade and all the parts are replacement it's 4 wheel drive come with 2 batteries all for same price is this car just don't buy this it's not good it would've been good if they sold replacement parts
