Just bought the axial yeti, I know it’s discontinued but that’s why I bought it when I saw one available, so many parts still available, I have my basket full of most the parts that will make it a better racer, I’m going to try some closed cell foams in the stock tires and see how much it changes their performance. Worst case, I’ll have to buy new tires

@David.427 жыл бұрын
A fair comparison. I don't recall the 2-speed option of the Yeti being mentioned, but it was the versatility of the Yeti that sold me on it over the 'Rey platform. As a fan of Losi products myself, I would take the SCBE over the Rock Rey, for performance and parts availability.

Yep, all good concerns - the servo horn should be done on day one. The rest is a "play by ear" situation. It's a great buggy - I wouldn't worry about what other people are saying. You don't know their maintenance routine, lack of driving skill, etc.

The Rock Rey is a good rig with a few adjustments. The RR setup is awful from the factory, damn thing won't even track straight (and yes I can drive an rc). The tires are too big, foams way too soft, diffs out bad with stock oil, and the stock steering setup has a comical amount of play and flex. Steel links all around, smaller tires and stiffer foams, HR steering setup and you've got a truck that will be capable on 3s.
