You can add this into any 4 channel plane with a RadioLink Byme-a coupled with a 4 channel sbus receiver, assign channel 5 to a 3 position switch and channel 7 to a 2 position switch. I've one fitted to an Eachine flying fish, coupled with a wfly rf201s, works a treat. Personally I don't bother with the 7 channel option and just use the 5th channel to give me normal, as3x and safe. Great enthusiastic and fun video Nate 🙂

Looks like a really good indoor plane for us up north guys that have to find a warm place in the winter to fly. We have two places we can fly inside( Park fliers only) . I see one of our club members have one. He has been having a blast with his.

Yes, this airplane you can fly indoor using straight flight mode, A560 has 2 of vertical mode: multi-copter and fixed wing logic.

Yay it’s back and better. I went to buy the original after your review and it was no longer available. I wish I had held off on the Eratix. This is a size I can actually fly in my yard. I think I will buy this and start to learn 3D and then move to the Eratix. Nice review.

Received mine yesterday. Took me a minute to figure out. Seems the left switch is up or down, the middle position is not used. Also, I spun my wheels for a long while trying to figure out if the wheel at top left meant anything to me. They threw in a couple extra prop bands on mine, I think. They must know me. :)

Nice Nate. I agree on the controller, many people are skilled on gaming controllers. The transition would be a huge plus for flying confidence. The Playstation controller shape is my favorite!

OK guys, when Abby said she thought it came in another version, I had to go look,…. It’s actually a PNP option that still comes with the flight controller,… “Byme-A” gyro. I JUST finished building an 18” biplane and a 48” version of the Edge540 out of foam board. Soooo, in looking for the flight controller to add to my new planes, RadioLink has two flight controllers. Byme-A (what you just flew) and Byme-D (for delta wings). They’re only about $20 in the US ($12 at Ali and Banggood). I’m hoping your video just made my new 48” Edge540 fly just like that little RadioLink!!! Will keep you posted on what I find. Would have never known the flight controllers existed without watching YOUR videos!!! Thanks!

I see (around 5:12) yours also has that little aileron shudder when it exits from a fast roll. Apart from that weird jittering that occasionally occurs, and the prop being very likely to strike the ground and chips breaking off when not making a perfectly soft landing, I enjoy mine a lot. It has much improved over its first incarnation. Probably mostly due to the battery placement and the extra rods between fuselage and wings, to make the airframe more rigid.

Hot tip. Put it about 8 feet away from you when you are binding it or turning it on. Otherwise it seems to go nuts. Give it a bit of space when you turn on the radio and plug in the battery and you are golden.

It's pretty fun flying off of snow! I've got skis on my aero scout and skis on my cub. My carbon cub has never flown with the wheels! And I'm looking forward to wheels because skis are kind of heavy

Super cool looking plane Nate, Looks like a great 3D trainer. put in vertical mode and someone new to hovering should be able to get the controls under control on it.. Little more costly then I thought it would be but i guess its not bad with 2 lipos and the tx and all. I Do see they have a PNP but i think w/o the RX it wouldn't be as much fun.

17:10 All your transmitters CAN be like that. I have one. Called a Jumper T Pro and with its Multi-Module you can fly literally everything with it and just about EVERY protocol out there. Try it. You wont go back.

I remember commenting about a560 in your other video about erratix. Now, I got the twisted hobbys crack laser and loved it even more. You do have to build the crack laser so that could be some disadvantages. But it allows you to practice manual hover and eventually precision aerobatics like slow rolls.

Hi, yes, you could replace the receiver which can bind with AT9S Pro, like R9DS, R12DS, R6DSM R6DS, and R12DSM. We suggest you go to PNP version.

First flight with mine and it shakes its tail faster than you can wiggle the stick in vertical mode 😢. Emailed the company to help diagnose it. Mine is SUPER twitchy in all modes too. Might end up exchanging it for a replacement with Amazon if RadioLink takes to long. I will keep you posted.

There is a little language barrier when dealing with Radiolink, they kept telling me to move the links on the control surfaces. Ended up returning to Amazon and the replacement has had zero issues. I think the gyro sensor was just having issues on the first one.

I think most 3d planes with massive control surfaces prefer a tail heavy configuration

As others have said, you basically want these planes to fly tail heavy like this. I could have throttle up and kept it way more level, but nose up, tail down is just the way to go with these things. I was half throttle or less and pulling up on that elevator a lot during this maiden 😉👍😁😎⚓️

I have a560 before erratix came out. One thing to watch out for is the size difference. A560 is much smaller and easier to transport. It is also fairly durable, though you might want to pick up some 3*0.6 carbon fiber plates to help fix any structural damages.

Different types obviously... Maiden flight on my Radio link today was a little disappointing with the vertical mode and overall twitchiness. I'm looking forward to diagnosing and playing with the radio link more for sure. This will be able to fly in a much smaller area than the Eratix but the Eratix is a "better" plane overall (quality). Price point and space to fly would be the deciding factor. Both are fun (even the Radio link) with the issues I was having today.
