Recently, the American Institute for the Study of War reported that Russia is deploying troops to attack Kharkiv. The shelling of this Ukrainian city has intensified.
Is there a real danger for Kharkiv? Charter97 media outlet addressed this question to the reserve major of the National Guard of Ukraine, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Oleksiy Hetman.

“Will they do it? They will definitely do something: provocations or local offensive actions. It should not be assumed that they just gathered about 70,000 troops there to sit in the field, do nothing and eat porridge.
Ukraine should keep its units there. I emphasize that 70,000 is a huge group, but it is not enough to attack such a large city. What exactly will be there - we will see soon enough. Much also depends on how much strength the Russians will add to it.
There are signs of an offensive: increased shelling, sabotage. They do everything according to the classics of the combat regulations before the offensive. But not always preparatory actions lead to subsequent offensives on the ground. I do not think that they spend shells and missiles only for the purpose of distraction. After such preparatory actions, attacks on the ground begin”, he added.
According to him, on the part of Belarus, it is even less likely that they will try to do something, if compared with Kharkiv. “However, we see in the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kyiv regions the strengthening of the work of sabotage and reconnaissance groups. This is a sign of preparation for the offensive, but, most likely, they want to force Ukraine to keep a certain number of forces there.
Nevertheless, the Russians will not take us by surprise. We all understand, see and prepare”, he added.

Lmfao yeah I don't exactly believe that, but people believe any of the propaganda that comes out of ukraine... hell people still think the ghost of Kiev is flying around the skies in his jet protecting Kiev shooting down missile attacks and whatever other garbage they muster up. The reality is ukraine needs positive propaganda they keep losing ground on all fronts and they're in desperate need for soldiers so they inflate numbers like 1740 people "liquidated" which is hilarious that anyone believes that. Even if ukraine was trading 3:1 with Russia that's still almost 600 ukrainians "liquidated". Looking at the map for the last 24 hours and what's been geo located I find it hard to believe that Russia is taking 1740 losses and still gaining land. But feel free to believe whatever propaganda you want I just go off what's factual and we all know ukraine ain't about releasing their daily damage reports cuz it ain't looking good for them

They are protecting them. A large majority of the population are pro russia. Not to mention the nukes were completely worthless to ukraine because they didn't have any of the launch sequences to use them so they were just chilling there anyway. It's not ukraine made nukes and gave them to Russia to be good guys... the ussr made them and had them in "ukraine" when the ussr split up and the federation absolved they inherited a handful of nukes... again they had absolutely no means to launch them so they were worthless to them. Then we can look at the fact that technically Russia is protecting ukraine from illegitimately joining nato, because unlike every other country that's in nato, ukraine offers nothing to nato other than a place to launder money through corruption... soo in this whole case I'm not so sure nato is the good guys... kinda seems like ukraine just wants to keep doing their corruption thing and not have to give as much money to Russia. They're just like Belarus dirty 3rd world country that's comi block garbage country, it's just that ukraine has made enough deals with western politicians to keep getting astronomical amounts of "aid" and politicians kids get to sit on the board of energy companies and get paid 80k usd a month cuz they have 0 experience.. so long as the big guy gets 10% wink wink
