My main issue is that I know how good I am but I mostly fear to play Comp because I feel bad when I am the reason my team loses the game :( When I play good, my confidence rises, but as soon I play bad, my confidence drops. GOt any tips for that, Sena? It's more or less an insecurity thing but I want to stop this. I don't know if it's a good idea to play Competitive as if it was Unrated so I don't have to worry about losing at all - even tho so many people told me that I'm so good at Val and I should start playing Comp, I sometimes have self-doubt that I'm not.

Too me it sounds like you just look at kd. What you could do more is maybe start to coordinate your team more. I don’t know what u are playing but if u play initiator tell your entry when he should peek and what your plan for utility is. If u are entry ask your initiators for darts or flashes and your smoker for smokes to block of specific angels. If you are smoker tell your teammates where your smoke is going and how u want to use your othere utility and if u are sentinel tell them when u go with them, if you got flank and when you are going to lurk. If you lurk you can also tell your team to cancel a site push if you hear defenders rotate of. This coordinates your team and even if you have a bad aim day you are gonna have impact. Just don’t care g du or kd to much and try to have as much impact as possible. Make Same call outs ok Defense and also look out where your strong side and weak side is and if someone is holding mid. In General try pattern recognition both in Defense as well as in attack. Good Luck!

Man I startet playing like a week ago so my gamesens is of course really really bad wich is fine because its build with knowledge and hours and just obtain it befreundet my Account gets to level 20 and im able to play ranked. But my is improving rather quickly and I already have better aim then my duo who plays for a year now. But as I go in an unrated Match, even an Unrated Match wich is so hilarious to me but still is the case my aim just crumbles, completely gone and think now it's really just because of the confidence. But it still frustrates me a lot. I hope I will improve at that before I go into ranked

This dude is SPITTIN FACTS in my case I had all these issues and i'm stuck Plat just cuz I don't have the confidence to when I was Global elite in CSGO for 4 years but i've seen improvement lately and the Deathmatch thing is soooo relatable as well in Deathmatches I'm Mostly #1 or 2 or 3 but on avg i'm #2 or 3 yet in a competitive game I hide and don't swing often but the only perk that I got is that I always blame myself and never the team

I feel like my problem is that my aim, I cannot keep it calm. For some reason I can in CS and dominate, however in Valorant I play like a Robot. I mostly top-frag however I get a lot of not impactful kills and then die, like in a 1v5 on 3 hp I kill 2 and die off. I just see an enemy and shoot and no matter what my brain doesn't register the fuck I thought it.

I have one question. You say playtime is a really important factor, but for me I have work and school so sometimes I can only play 1-2 times a week for maybe 2-3 hours and after warming up that’s 1-2 ranked games. I’m diamond and have been for a bit and really want to hit ascendant but just feel like I’m not going to be able to cause I can’t sink hours into it like I’d want.

I am all brain no aim for sure. My aim is lowkey worse than most silvers, but I am a plat player, because I am almost always aware of situations happening around me, and then when I go to kill them, I whiff and get one tapped 😂. Luckily I duo with someone who does have good aim, and any time I’m calling clutches for him he clutches the rounds like 80% of the time, which is why we work so well together

Tbh my aim preparation/pre aim is not consistent. I noticed there are times where I get lots of top frags in comp as KJ (more kills than Reynas/Jetts) then outta nowhere the next day I dont know how to aim anymore, forget how to use a proper aim mechanic. Times like those make me think Valorants play style isnt meant for people like me. Even though I genuinely like the game (and it's FREE!). A sexy free shooter tbh.

I don't know how to decide what agent I want to main. I constantly switch it up because I don't like playing certain support, but I also don't have good enough aim to fill the more fun role of an entry with Duelists. I keep filling my roles with the recurring agents Omen and Skye, and don't know who I should/ could play to actually make me wanna keep playing the same person. Not to mention the instalocking issues in game.

As he said in the vid, mental, confidence, aim, gamesense. If you don't want to fill, then don't. Also, aim takes time. I have peaked immortal 3, and aim took me some time to improve. Get a warmup routine that works best for you, get into a dm, or tdm. And if ur ready, queue ranked. You also said that you DON'T know what agent to play. I recommend recording your games, and playing them back. It will show you how you play, how u use abilities, and your game sense in situational plays. If you improve your aim, and have confidence, go for jett or reyna. If you are worried about how to enter a site, watch his other vids on how to entry. If ur brainy, go for cypher or kj. But if you like team plays, go for skye or kayo. Kayo will take some time to master his flashes. I recommended skye too because her skills r well rounded and perfect for team plays. Such as her dog to get info, flash to pop flash, or either flash to check areas. But, if you fill smokes, you have to understand that you are the MOST important for the attack side. Do NOT die first. Smoke, molly, flash, or teleport to create pressure, and then have you and your teammates absolutely COLLAPSE on the other team. Hope this helps 🙏

Recently I caught a stream where a player played Viper on Breeze. I want to learn Viper so I started watch the stream. I know the very basic on Breeze. The player went to A side, and I thought she will do the standard wall which covers the main entry and half of mid. Where she did that kinda, but she did it from the other end door. So instead of covering door and mid she covered door and the outside of the map. And I though, alright she must be in a lower ELO, that's fine everybody has to start somewhere. She made similarly nonsensical walls through out the entire game (like covering no entrance or any line). Then when the match ended I realised she was Ascendant and I was devastated. I'm just Silver who thinks even that is too high for me but even I took the time to look up at least the basics.

I feel like those who play with their extremely skillful friends, they bypass the common process of climbing up the ladder. If they have just good aim, they can cover up the rest of the flaws with the help of their friend. They win matches because of that friend/friends. Maybe this is how they rank gets boosted. So, what can a guy do who started Valorant about an year ago, in 3 months reached Silver, the rank reset happened and ever since is struggling to reach Silver again, has good or better game sense, but his aim is deteriorating ever since, not able to improve and also has deteriorating confidence ever since. (Silver is a very low rank I know but it was a huge achievement for me as I reached quite quickly and had good aim thus had so much confidence, but ever since then I am going down and have now given up.)

Just have a duo or someone positive too cheer you up and when they down you cheer them up if not that just after the round just go for a tiny walk around your house like 15 seconds and sit down relax I recommend duo but your choice
