@@kristian_johnson87 I just printed 5 playsets of the true duals for 30c each. There's no reason to pay more than 30c per mtg card in a casual format with no rules regarding card's authenticity.

All those whiffs are proof that all Keene Gate decks should have Strionic Resonator and Lithoform Engine to get extra combat damage triggers. They can also be used on the ward trigger: imagine someone aiming removal at Keene, totally willing to pay 9 life, only to hear "okay, but now you have to pay 18 life instead." Lithoform Engine can also copy Maze's End's activation.

Although it didn't matter, did Couz count his Thespian Stage'd copy of the Basilisk Gate as one of the gates counted? Because Maze's End requires 10 gates with different names. Unless I missed a different gate he put into play when he went from 5 to 7.

I played against a nine-fingers gate deck and honestly it can turbo out the mazes end win pretty fast if built that way.

I can confirm I have nine fingers in my helper kenrith deck and I have been able to get her 9 gate trigger multiple times it is sooo satisfying. I recommend adding cards that tutor for two non basics onto field.

I wonder with Keene, if you put that many cards on the bottom of your deck, should you shuffle your deck that much? I get the idea of "why use the mana for maze," but that would lower your chances of getting gates, but then the tutoring for gates is far more consistent. I think may have play it to find out.

Nice evolution for the Trostani deck. I'm planning to upgrade my Wilhelt deck to Esper. Currently deciding between Sefris, Varina, Raffine or Bane for commander.

I recommend Varina if you wanna stick with zombies and raffine if you wanna be more flexible but bane is my personal fav out of all of them!

I couldn’t take my Trostani deck apart so I made a Ghired one that has other synergies. I think they play very differently and you can enjoy both commanders in separate decks.

When he activated Baldurs Gate to play and equip the sword, did he have five gates in total? Because then it should have only gotten 4 mana, since Baldurs Gate does not count itself. Not a big deal on the end of course.

Scapeshift sorta seems like it would just win if cast in the mid game in a mazes end gates deck. Kura the boundless sky is also pretty sweet grabbing a chunk of any 3 lands on death.

Ghired is a beast, upgraded the deck a little bit about 2 years ago and barely changed it since then. Seance, Helm of the Host and some big dumb tokens like Avent of the Wurm are power houses. I have not though of adding Wulfgar to the deck though, clever inclusion! I will do that as well I think...since i got him in my binder catching dust.

I may have missed something, but couldn’t couz have copied mazes end with thespian stage. Attack with the unblockable untapping it and thus have 8 gates in play with two mazes end resolves?

I use my ghired as a blink deck. It’s pretty fun and overwhelm the board with rhinos which are my favorite animal 😊.

Really like the Ghired deck. Especially as the strategy is very similar to mine. I already thought so when you explained your trostani deck once as getting token copies of other stuff. Hey that much more of a ghired deck! I just want to tell you that delina wild mage doesnt work well with an attack trigger deck as the token comes into play attacking and isnt declared attacker. Just take Aurelia the warleader instead which, such as Port razor i guess, can go infinit if you can get token copy of them.

That's what I was thinking too. With Elesh Norn out and Gate Colossus only being an 8/8 it should have only done 7 infect from 6/6 with +1/+0, right?
