this vid is from 1994...sad to say, Amtrak is not the same as it was back in those days. i just went on a trip from LA to Boston by train in the middle of 09' (the same trip we did back in 97'). Most was familiar, but the worst part was the food service deterioration. Now you have to order from a very select menu, like 4 dishes. Back in the 90s, you could order anything you wished like a real restaurant with real plates lol. It's a fun experience for kids, but a little cramped for adults.

Wow, i remember when i was young and i thought all of this was the darndest thing since chocolate cake, and now i do not remember anything else besides the Genesis' the F40PH's as Cab Cars, phase V paint. if i really try i can remember the F40's and the Three Rivers.

why does the footage keep going from a superliner car to a horizon car. ive always asked myself that as a kid. he boarded a superliner car at 0:37 then see a san diegan with horizon fleet departing after he says all aboard at 0:48 lol
