If my senses are to be trusted, when I moved to Philadelphia, Morrissey heard me practicing and said it sounded like I knew what I was doing. Being an angsty teen made me aware of the Smiths, but they never were a favorite of mine. Nowadays, it's the racist shit that's turned me off the band until I found a slowed/reverb version of this track that got stuck in my head.
