Losing close does not make you a top 10 team..... it is disgrace to the actual championship caliber BSU teams to overhype this team. Like seriously - how old are you? You want to be taken seriously for a 3 point loss in Autzen? Bruh, do you realize the last time BSU played in Autzen they led 32-7 in the 4th against a top 10 Oregon - obviously won that game, ranked top 3 in offense, went undefeated and didnt even make a FREAKING BOWL GAME..... And you want 2024 BSU to be value above that? Its not even close. They had to win the game to be taken seriously. They lost close - yes, but they lost. This team is comparable to 2014 BSU - thats a 12 win team capable of beating top 10 opponents overall ranked 10-15. Thats a good team. This isnt Peterson era boise, lets not jump and shoot the shot and act like they are better than they have shown to date.

For teams like Indiana, being ranked in this Playoff ranking altogether was the whole point of expanding the thing. When you can't compare apples to apples and give their record the credit they think they deserve, you put them in and now they have the opportunity to shove it down the committee's throat or prove the committee right. They should use that ranking as a chip on their shoulders, but that's where the grievances should end until they win the head-to-heads.

Lets look at Penn St vs Indiana. Neither team has beaten a (currently) ranked team. Which, if any, of them deserve to be in a top 10 position? We will ignore their loss to Ohio St. In my opinion, a close loss to the #2 team in the country shouldn't affect a a reams ranking (unless they were #1). Penn State has beaten 5 P4 teams. Their average record was 4.5 - 4.3. Indiana has beaten 6 P4 teams. Their average record is 4.2 - 4.5. So far it is a wash. Penn State has beaten slightly better teams, but Indiana more P4 teams. Now lets look as how they won. Penn State beat their P4 opponents by an average score of 28.6 - 14.6. Average MOV is 14 points. That is a very respectable MOV over unranked P4 teams, Indiana's average score vs P4 opponents is 43.2 - 16.5. That is an Average MOV of 26.7 points. They say you can't control your schedule. However, you can control how you play against your schedule. Indiana has been crushing it and in my opinion should be ranked higher and Penn St needs to drop to number 10 or 11. Why # 10 or 11? Both BYU and Alabama have beaten multiple teams currently tanked in the top 25.

I think ANY CFB playoff mock-up, or even the final seedings, will be a complete farce because I predict that this whole CFB Playoff thing will fail spectacularly. The ONLY people in favor of it are the fans, the TV networks, and the schools with good TV contracts. The fans have long wanted it because all previous ways of determining a national championship have been based solely or largely on the polls that fans don't get to vote in. The networks and schools have recently started wanting it because of the money they can get from extra games. But NOBODY on the field wants it. The coaches don't want it because it makes it harder for them to keep their jobs. Just being in the top 10 and winning a decent bowl game is no longer enough. Also, an extended post-season cuts into time they used to have for recruiting, upon which also their jobs depend. And the players don't want it, either. It was already hard enough to get players to show up for even 1 bowl game. Now it's a minimum of 3, max of 4 (or 5 if you have a conference championship game, too), to win it all. And for what? None of the kids these days care about their school or winning championships. They're all transfer portal mercenaries looking only to maximize their NIL money in college while developing their skills to maximize their NFL draft position and thus future salary. The last thing they want to do is get hurt and the more games they play in, the more likely that is. Winning a championship might enhance NIL money next year but that's only a consideration for underclassmen who plan to play at least 1 more year in college. Most starters will be heading to the draft next spring so have no reason whatsoever (other than possible terms in their NIL contracts) to risk their personal futures for the selfish interests of their schools and their fans. Especially if, being mercenaries, they feel no attachment to either group. So what I predict will happen is this.... Those bound for the NFL at the end of this season, which will include most of the players who got their teams into the playoffs to begin with, will opt out of playing in the playoff games. As such, the playoff games will all be the same sad jokes that bowl games have become. In the name brand schools, It'll all be freshmen and sophomore backups whom we've never seen play that much if at all. As such, seeding teams based on in-season performance will bear no relation to the teams actually on the field in the playoff games. This will put the "Group of 5" representative in an advantageous position because it will likely still have most of its starters. Why? Because they don't get nearly as much exposure as the guys in the big conferences, so the risk / reward equation is different for them. If they were elite players, they'd be at a name brand school. But they're not, so they need to shift the tape balance in their favor. And what better way than leading an underdog to a natty against all the name brands, even if those name brands are skeletons of what earned them the playoff berth. Anyway, until I see how this 1st-ever true CFB playoff works out in practice, consider me totally cynical about it, and not caring about it whatsoever, because I expect it rapidly to become a farce. So we should all take a deep breath, hold our noses, and go back to just the AP poll to decide championships based on the regular season's results, because that's as close to the best result as we'll ever get in the NIL / transfer portal world of today.

How is notre dame ranked lol😂

Simple - they’re 7-1 with the largest margin of victory average in the entire FBS since their loss in week two, with wins over three ranked teams, and their defense ranks in the top 10 in multiple categories They’re absolutely demolishing everyone in front of them. The committee doesn’t get hung up on one loss from the beginning of the season.

Byu does not deserve crap. They will let you down by losing because they have awful head coaches in all 5 major college sports. Football Men's basketball Women's basketball Baseball Softball. I can promise you that BYU will never win another national championship in these 5 sports until they believe in God and do what is right. And bring the best head coach in the world. For all 5 sports. I am the very best head coach in the world and I do not screw people over by losing Tell me when I telling lies.

Huh? They beat #3 now #6 and lost to #1 by point after a controversial call took them out of FG range. Both games were on the road btw. 😂

Notice how both playoff brackets have them playing boise and byu to get to the semifinal. They will twist and contort the playoffs however they can to get ohio state a w. It's painfully obvious
