Reminds me of Zach Randolph but he’s gonna have to improve his right hand if he wants to succeed in the nba.
@jaredfontenot76729 ай бұрын
The lack of confidence with his weak hand reminds me of Cam Thomas. He'll give up left hand lay ups for contested fade-aways, but is somehow talented enough to have the occasional 40-piece. Burns has a lot of other strengths on offense, but that weak hand is gonna be a much bigger issue for a post player.

I'm a life long state fan, and I'm very grateful for him leading the pack to a place we didn't think we'd realistically ever be back to. I don't think he's an nba player though. He's not really 6'9, and he's way over 275. He might have had a chance in earlier versions of the league, but i just don't see him fitting on a modern nba roster. No real jump shot, no 3 ball, no vertical, not a great defender. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
@acgeewhiz9 ай бұрын
@@na15464Same. A lot of commenters say that I’m just hating. I watch a lot more NBA than college aside from my Wolfpack, and while I love what Burns has done since getting to Raleigh, I don’t think he makes it far if he even gets to the NBA. Would love to be wrong though. Look at Jokic, drafted during a Taco Bell commercial and now a multiple MVP winner, lol.

Great video! As an NC State fan and alum, I think you covered his game pretty well. But I cannot stress just how important his passing game is. Marquette, who has a really good defense, was double teaming him all night and not giving him any open looks whatsoever, and he only scored 4 points. However, along with those 4 points was 7 assists. His court vision is amazing, plain and simple. If you double team him, he WILL find the open man. His matchup with Edey is going to be interesting. Hopefully NC State can become the first 11 seed to get to the finals!

I love NC State, but DJ is going to be shut down around the basket vs Zach Edey. Will need to be open/shooting 10-12' shots and finding the open man. I'm hoping that State let's it fly from deep early and that (successful) it opens up the inside for them. Need transition game from defense, because State moves poorly in the half court system often seeming to employ zone offense which isn't a thing (just make sure your defender can't lose you).

What the F ever. There is less of an answer for Edey. Oops!!! There was enough of an answer for Burns that they lost like 14 or so games. Hmmmm..... Plus he won't be able to push Edey towards the basket like he does other players, Edey out weighs him but a stretch. They aggressive forcing players to get closer to the basket will not work unless Edey is on the bench.
