I think this network truly changed the television landscape with gritty, hard-edged programming that even today is emulated. I watched shows like , "The Shield" and was stunned at how true-to-life it was. This network truly is to this day both innovative and provocative.

Because youtube is stupid, we can't like comments anymore. But I'll make a few responses to everyone. -"There is no box" is a play on the phrase "think outside the box" since FX is known for edgy and creative tv shows that don't stick to formulas. -The episode of The Shield where Vic is punching a wall is "The New Guy", season 6 episode 4 (pretty sure). -(spoilers for The Shield "The New guy" episode. He punched the wall because someone died, but he didn't know them very well. It was a teenager who was trying to leave a gang and was killed for it. Vic was angry and saddened because he failed to save him.

You know some of the lesser know networks for shows make the best ones. For instance this network, Rescue Me and the Shield, AMC, Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Those are some of the greatest shows I've seen in the last couple of years.
