People trying to be made holy by the ministry of condemnation! Been there, done that. Accepting Jesus as my salvation, sanctification & justification is the best thing that has ever happened to my conscience.

Did Jesus live under the law? If yes, why? Some say He obeyed it perfectly. Why?
@randypierson6358Ай бұрын
(The Finished work without works) is the good news, in other words bad news would be welcome to life, Christ finished his half now here's a dead body & spirit, go finish & fulfill the the rest of the law in all it's perfection,while on probation impossible, this is why righteousness has to be imputed.😊 Thanks 🙏.

Matthew 7 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [s]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

Right and by the law, we will be enslaved to lawlessness, so it needs to be by grace, which teaches us to deny ungodliness
@nilsalmgren44925 ай бұрын
@@brainequ Yes, we will always sin, but we do not live in a constant state of sin like those who practice homosexual marriage or sleep around. Those people, even though they claim Jesus as Lord, show by their actions they reject Jesus.

It's really hard to concentrate on what Jon is saying when Justin is just itching to get a few words or an affirmative sound in every other second. Yes, I'm sure you agree with and know what he is saying, but maybe chill a little so the rest of us plebs can take it all in, in an uninterrupted piece? I love your stuff and your teachings, but this is driving me mad. Sorry for the bad tone. Thanks for everything guys

Obedience is required. It is not automatic. It is not optional. It is required to remain on the path. If that's considered a legalistic, back door salvation by works, so be it. Your podcast is giving false comfort to those marching straight to hell.

@@waynemershon4622 How MUCH obedience is required to REMAIN on the path to heaven?
@cjfoster41796 ай бұрын
@akadwriter that kind of question comes from a legal spirit/temperament.
@davidelgeti5176 ай бұрын
@@akadwriterHow you ask that question demonstrates that you underestimate what you have received and who you now are! It has never been a matter of our performance or sacrifice but always Gods Grace. But what you should understand is what you have received by Faith, receive at your new birth and conversation, you have received unity with Christ and are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. It is by this new relationship that you are being changed, it must be! because of what you received, you didn’t just receive a ticket into Heaven but you have been set a part made Holy, a transformation into the likeness of Christ. Do you believe that? Why do you ask How much is enough? Why not ask God how much obedience will you give me, do you think God is stingy, is it not God who commands us to be Holy! Will He not do what He commands. What Good news have you been hearing? That there is no power in the Gospel to transform a sinner to a saint? You can do what God requires, a little more every day as you seek to be made Holy as God has already said that we are Holy set apart to do His will. It begins as you believe and trust and ask God to do it, How much belief do you ask God for? Enough to get into Heaven or so much that those around you will notice that you are beginning to resemble your Lord and Saviour. Rest in God for sure but Believe that you are not the same! You have received power from on High, a light in a dark world, separate from the world but we are still lights in this world, lights where ever we are placed to shine the light of Christ that dwells in you, giving God all the Glory.

Obedience to what? The law? Are you saying you've achieved perfect obedience?
@davidelgeti5176 ай бұрын
@@PilotLife175 We all agree it is God! Who in His mercy and Grace Has given us a Faith that saved us. A Faith in His Son and Christs perfection in His life death and resurrection for our benefit, all to the Glory of God. What you struggle with is what all changes in the life of those that believe, what does it mean to be in a personal relationship, a new creation, a follow of Christ a slave to Christ and a servant in His kingdom etc. Does a good father require us to earn our son ship to retain the family name? Does the father desire a relationship and does all he can to encourage the son to be worthy of that family name? Would this father provide the means to the child so that he might succeed? Might that father have rules and Discipline as well? All these things are a reflection of the father’s love, it is who He is and How this father in His love grants blessing to His Children. It is obvious, are parents are not God and not perfect and yet we see we must obey them because of who they are and who we are. Not to earn or remain their children but because of the relationship established by God Himself. Life is a picture God gives mankind and if we have eyes to see, we will not miss this act of grace to teach us about what the kingdom might be like.

Amen brothers. Calvin himself was blatantly unbiblical on this teaching. We need to remember that our ONE STANDARD is not the Reformers but Scripture alone.

Your thinking is stuck in the dark ages. It is the theology of the Catholic church...it is Hinduism, it is Mormonism, it is Satanism, etc.. Works are dead any way you slice it. I hope you find the freedom of the Gospel and of Jesus. It was relieving for me. I used to be a Paul Washer and John MacArthur legalist. Good luck on your journey

Obedience is provided through Christ. You preach another Gospel. If remaining in Christ is dependent on ANY amount of obedience, then NO ONE would make it to Heaven!
