I am Mexican, so I can verify that this is NOT a Mariachi song hahahaha is not because is not by Mexicans, not at all; that would be dumb, but simply the music is not Mariachi music, they say “el Mariachi” in the lyrics but that’s it. The rhythm and general vibe of the song is very much Latin tho, for sure. So yes, Airplane pt. 2 is a Latin music influenced BTS track, yet another lane they had not been shy about exploring, so it counts. Btw, to tell the rappers apart it sometimes helps, if you see one of the rappers absolutely murdering the dance moves, then more than likely it is J-Hope. Of course all of the members are amazing dancers, but from the three rappers J-Hope is the one more prone to dancing and having solo dance parts, since he is the group’s Dance Leader.

I was searching the comment section for this. lol. I'm Dominican so I don't know if there are specific requirements to classify mariachi. But it for sure is not like any mariachi I have heard in my life. lol. Mariachi songs are very distinctive sound for sure. Since they already mention the diff countries, I feel like adding the mariachi line is adding another global element to the song.

“El Mariachi” translates to the word “musician.” It originally came from the movie “El Mariachi” which was about a guy who sang romance but nobody liked that about him-but he never cared and continued to sing romance wherever he went and whenever he sang. In Airplane Pt. 2 I think it compares that to the old days of BTS and how they continued to sing their songs wherever they went and didn’t care that people didn’t like them or their songs. In the lyrics it says “Wherever in the world, I will sing” which connects that they won’t care and don’t care about who dislikes their music. That they will continue to share their music and passion with the world.

I love this song so much! It was one of the first BTS songs that really made me fall for them! I love your reaction & break down too! A++! ... Fun fact this version of the song is actually being sung in Japanese not Korean (there is a Korean version but that doesn’t have a MV) ... And the whole song is based of J Hope’s solo track Airplane. His boss heard it and was like “this is so good it should be a BTS song!” So they made Airplane pt 2 & J Hope’s rap verse in the song is taken from his original solo song

This is part 2 as the first Airplane is a solo song from Jhope (the one dancing on the bar) off his mixtape Hope World. Fun fact: jhope’s verse in this song is the exact same lyrics from one of his verses from Airplane but completely rearranged composition wise. Airplane is a lot slower and totally different feel so the skill to rearrange how he sings the lyrics to fit this song’s style is SO cool to me.

I've never questioned the purpose of the rain, but I think it does have meaning. If you see Jin's face when it starts raining and then see them continue to sing and dance to, I think it's a very subtle way of saying that it doesn't matter what the world throws at them, they will just keep on doing their thing. He's a baritone and has the deepest voice of all the members. He can ALSO sing in 3 octaves and it's mind blowing 🤯(PLEASE watch Stigma live. It's so bluesy and deep, and Taehyung's voice is absolutely inhuman.)If like R&B this is for you sir. Jungkook is the one who V walks up to, who is already sitting at the bar. He is the most stable vocalist and is frequently in the center of the choreography.(ALSO, have you not watched Euphoria live yet!?! Omg.) He's ALSO the one drinking milk at the beginning of Dynamite, has the AMAZING solo with the killer high note in ON Kinetic Manifesto, and the member with long purple hair in Butter. You already know Jimin, RM, and Suga. J-Hope is the one with the sing songy rap who dances on top of the bar. He's also the king of chereography. Many people also don't realize he sings many backing vocals for the group. He's so flexible with his body AND skillset. He's also always upbeat and quick to laugh. One of his nicknames is Sunshine. Jin is the vocalist (with the light blonde hair) who was lighting the match and singing the high pitched "and STIIILLLL" part you enjoyed with RM. (WATCH EPIPHANY LIVE!! That song made me think twice and take the gun out of my mouth. It's literally saved my life. I'm so grateful for the hope they've given me for the future. I think part of is how well you describe the breadth of their talents. In Mexico we have a song by the singer Juan Gabriel who is famous for saying that "Mariachi" means "party day" in Otomí, a language in Mexico. I want to think that they took that reference to say that wherever they go it will be a party, but speaking of mariachi this is not mariachi music but it does have a Latin vibe ^^

Actually the song "Idol" was made with African beats that they later transposed Korean instruments on top of so that it would satisfy the complainers that said that they were not wanting to be Korea. But this song was made during their World Stadium Tour and people were telling them that they were selling out going to different countries. So both of these songs were written to those who felt they were suppose to stay in their Kpop lane. They are famous and have a big fan base not only in the USA but also in Southern American countries like Mexico, Colobia, Brazil. A little help on recognizing them without looking at their hair (they change colors ALL the time) Jin is the oldest, funniest, Worldwide Handsome and he has crooked fingers (that he hates) he is the singer that sings middle tenor and naturally skinny, wears funky clothes. Suga second oldest, the straight face of the group if he does smile it is a very toothy grin so much that you can see his gums he is also almost as short as Jimin he is second rapper next to RM. RM the leader usually wearing a different color that the rest of the group to tell him apart, and also the largest of the group (not that any are large), he Jin and V are practically the same height but RM looks taller, bigger, RM speaks English fluently and free style dances with gusto if not talent (shhh) . J-Hope is the Dance Leader and he dances hip hop/b boy, because of that he is super skinny and he is the third rapper but he has the most rythemic style to his rap (I think because of his dance). Jimin is your guy you know him he is the contemporary dancer and sings the highest notes. V he sings the lowest parts he is also known for his CGI looks (looks like someone drew him) he also wears clothes that are bigger than he is because of a skin condition. JK is the baby (not so baby) he is the only one with visible tattoes and an eyebrow piercing but for older videos look for the youngest in the group and he is also the lead singer and dancer so he is usually the one that is in the middle during the chourus, JK can sing, rap, dance so beautifully.

I love your channel - SUGA is a rapper (D and D-2 and Daewichta. SUGA is a composer and he had been recognized by the Korea Government for his compositions. RM is the rapper but he has become a singer and a dancer as well. JIN (in my opinion) is the most amazing! He is the oldest member. When he joined BTS as a trainee he had never danced or sung - look at him now. Jimin had professional dancing experience but hadn't sung before. J-Hope was a well known underground dancer (he had never sung or rapped before). Pretty amazing! V did not have dancing and singing experience when he became a trainee. Jungkook was only 13 when he became a trainee. I think each and every member of BTS is fanastic!
