Harvesters don't want you to know this *ONE SIMPLE TRICK*

This got me thinking... what if we used this combo? Machine Gun Supply Pack We could be like Rambo just spraying and praying every single thing to death

Use the new passive with reload speed too. You don't even need to bring the MG there's a bunch on each Illuminate map.

@@GrandSupremeDaddyo Ah but, if we wanted more firepower, we could always bring the HMG, then we'll truly be rambo-ing

MG seems to have enough ammo, especially in cities where poi's are everywhere. With the HMG, I could see the supply pack being worth it.

You literally just described my go-to loadout for every faction. You get so much ammo out of it you literally never have to take ammo from resupply pods. Just set your fire rate to max and BRRRRT away. I like taking a primary that's well suited to a specific situation, (E.G. something with high stagger for dealing with Stalkers) because at this point the Machine Gun *is* your primary. Your secondary is personal preference, but for grenades I like taking Thermites since you don't have a specialised AT weapon, and then Engineering Kit armour to almost double them. Stratagems are also personal preferance, but I like taking the 500kg Bomb and the Gas Strike/Strafing Run. Even if you're not resupplying teammates, you're still helping their ammo economy because you're not taking from resupplys or scavenging from the map, letting them double dip without hurting you.

Roadblock armour + breaker spray and pray + resupply pack + HMG. Why they gave an autoshotgun with a 25 round drum mag, 10 mags with the passive, is beyond me.

The clip of you just spraying down the harvester and it shooting a laser that entirely misses and never once tracks you has given me an epiphany. I've been using the AMR for harvester takedowns this entire time, and on paper it's much faster than the MG takedown, but in practice it's worse because the MG takedown inflicts suppression while the AMR does not. With the AMR I have a LOT of recoil to control between shots and missing is punished more heavily since it's just one bullet rather than a stream of them. This makes me really vulnerable to getting rushed down by zombies while I take down the harvester and it punishes my mistakes by giving the harvester opportunities to effectively retaliate and punish my mistakes. With the machine gun, the harvester experiences "suppression", a mechanic that works on the bot front too. This causes it to throw it's aim off when it starts the shot and only just now after watching this video I realized it also messes with the harvester's ability to track the aim closer to you. I haven't "overlooked" the MG on the squid front, I've used it somewhat but I simply preferred the AMR for the easy one-shot kills against the overseers and I've simply assumed the AMR is better against harvesters due to a faster TTK. However, I've had those games where there are 3 harvesters on me and they're able to lock me down with me just frantically dodging and dealing with other threats while I desperately find an opening to take one out. With them having that foothold, they can spawn a fourth and a fifth and pretty much end the game right there. I think I'll try the MG some more going forward because I want to lock them down rather than the other way around.

I was using the AMR for a while also for the same reason, faster TTK, then I realised that sheer firepower can turn a hopeless situation into something workable. sending rounds down range with the 900rpm fire mode simply works a treat (having the ability to switch between firing at the overseers, voteless and harvesters all in the same magazine is very versatile). I've noticed also that when you break their shield generator they freak the hell out for a good 5-10 seconds, which only allows you to keep hitting their leg joints easier - and as the video shows when they eventually do fire back they are just firing the lazer willy-nilly.

The machine guns are also generally better for the squid front, since they are great at managing Voteless as well.
