Airlines have to be held responsible for cancellations, delays and not providing the services people are paying for. They apparently can screw over passengers whenever they feel like it, with no penalties, while passengers are messed about and made to pay through the nose for any changes they need to make. It need to be changed and there needs to be more REAL competition!

Stop call a private company the national air. They are over priced and have poor service in my opinion. Any company that tries to rip off its clients deserves zero respect and especially one that plays politics. Playing politics will cause a lose patronage by people in Australia as your clients may not agree with your viewpoint.

Flight credits are a bullshlt means to keep the money from prepaid fares that are cancelled. Having failed to fulfill a contract ( to carry you from A to B for a sum of money), they are legally obligated to refund your fare. They make it as difficult as possible for you to get your legal refund. The first hurdle is to refuse the refund to fool you with a "flight credit" in order to keep your cash. If not acceptable you are "entitled to go to head office and take the matter up there". I've tried to get my legal refund but have instead had a "flight credit" literally thrown at me and security was called to ensure I left the premises. Contacting head office, I was informed that "you accepted the flight credit so what's the problem"? It's a top down con to keep your cash.
