There's A New Builder in Town! Let's Play My Time at Sandrock Day 1

Welcome my friends as we embark on a brand new Let's play of My Time at Sandrock! I have had my eye on this game for a few months and have finally found the time to start this let's play and I couldn't be more excited.
My Time at Sandrock is a farming/crafting sim set in a post apocalyptic desert town and our job is to work really hard to restore the town to it's former glory. The place is in rough shape but the towns folk are (mostly) honest and our hopes are high.
The game is currently in early access but is scheduled for a full release in September so I couldn't think of a better time to start this game. Join me as we craft, make friends tell jokes and explore everything this game has to offer.

If you didn't know, My time at Sandrock is sort of a prequel as Mason shows up long after the end of Portia long after the main storyline ends. For me, he showed up about 2 in game years after the main story. So, I guess you could say Sandrock is somewhat happening at roughly the same time as Portia.

Oh That's fascinating! I've played some of Portia but it ran so poorly on the switch I stopped. I will Probably do a let's play for that game at some point. I hope Mason is happier in retirement, he seems genuinely defeated. I was probably too hard on him in these early videos

I played quite a bit of Portia on the switch as well. It was great! I never finished it and I can't remember why.. I think Elden Ring came out which is not the kind of game I usually play but that took over my life for like 6 months. I should finish Portia one day

@@UNKIEPLAYS yeah, it is better than portia as well i feel they really tried to take feedback and improve certain things, most for the better. the only one i dont really like that much is the new house building, but at least it gives a little bit more freedom.

I had a feeling it was going to be Sandrock 😂 i’m in the middle of my own playthrough of this game myself and decided to stop because the full release will come out in September. I’ll definitely watch your journey as well! On another note, if you enjoyed Harvestella, have you played Rune Factory (most notably RF4)? Great story, has farming and fighting, and tons of fun as well!

Rune Factory 4 and 5 are both very high on my short list of games. I've never played either so both would be perfect

@@UNKIEPLAYS If new to the series, Rune Factory 5 is a good introduction as it's simpler overall than 4 is. That said, Rune Factory 4 Special is absolutely the pinnacle of the series.

⁠@@UNKIEPLAYSs a fellow enjoyer of Harvestella, I highly recommend the Rune Factory series. I have an inkling you will like it since it’s very similar in many aspects (aside from the sci-fi stuff). As the other commenter below mentioned, RF4S is the pinnacle of the series and an absolutely amazing game. If you’re ever thinking of playing that on this channel, I hope you start with 4 before 5 but any order is fine since they’re all self-contained stories. I would say that RF4 has a much better (and longer) storyline as well.

I sadly can not view your new LP, because I also will play it later, and don't want to see much in advance. Is this the follow up to harvestella? Or do you start another one, when Harvestella is over?

Ah well enjoy the game then! I think it's gonna be a good one I definitely plan on starting another game when Harvestella is over but I haven't decided what yet. I think I might do a poll and see what people think. Right Now Spiritfarer and Rune Factory 4 are on my short list I've yet to play those. Totally open to suggestions!
