There's Always A Few Bad Apples In The Bunch

In this video we talk about our goat herd and some problems that we have noticed with a few of our does. All of the trouble that we have had with parasites and mortality has come from the same five does. Some of these does have given us problems in the past. By keeping track of this in our notes and continuing to keep tract of it we can see what does should be on the cull list. At least we can tell what offspring we do not want to stay in the herd. We also do a little bit of an update on the rest of the farm.

We had one that had seizures. When she had her two little ones one of them had the same problem. You're right on not keeping them for breeding. We had one that always had triplets and always had very healthy little ones.

Yeah I know. I just have a habit of calling them steers. A lot of people in our area use steer over wether.
