My favorite part of this series of games is that you can technically combine One Night Ultímate: Werewolf, Alien, and Vampire (which y’all should play next) the app supports mixing the cards and it ends up bringing a whole lot of win conditions- Aliens, Villagers, Tanners, Synthetic Aliens, Minions, etc

That's almost its downfall because just like werewolf, it has a massive pitfall for the evil team: as soon as everyone claims to be their role, and you might as well since there's only one night*, everyone turns to look at the last two people... And they're usually aliens. Especially when they're unfamiliar enough with the game that they don't know which innocent roles might be in the middle. And if someone looked in the middle like in the round where Chanse caught Ian red-handed? Oof. So this game by virtue of being newer and less well-known than Werewolf is technically (for now) a worse game. Unless it gains werewolf's notoriety enough that the average player knows all the roles and what they do by heart, it's just werewolf except with werewolf's biggest flaws emphasized. So a worse werewolf. *Rounds where townspeople lie result in alien victories, like Arasha's mortician round (and she won too so no complaints there, she played well!).

The "traditional" or rather, base version of the game goes over more than one night per game and it's basically designed to prove the idea that an informed minority will eventually win over an uninformed majority. In other words it's setup for the werewolves to succeed, which makes winning as the villagers more rewarding.
