You just had to be there bro. PES 5 Adriano could score from anywhere after the half way line lol . He bad 99 strength and 98 body balance alone meaning you couldn’t even put him off the ball! 😹Had 88 speed !! 90 acceleration, 99 shot power , 90 header and 89 shot accuracy so every time you shot on goal with him there is 90% chance you could score .

Very different player from R9. He was stronger than R9 and had way more shooting power. While r9 danced his way into the box, adriano simply forced his way through with sheer strength and the occassional trick or sombrero.

Also Cafu wasn't "too old" the next year after the 2007 World Cup we won the Champions League with Cafu 37, Maldini 39, Costacurta 41, and we knocked out CR7 and his buddies, Cafu sent him crying back to Manchester.

The problem is that Brazilian footballers are not exactly known for their professional attitude and eagerness to train, there are hundreds of examples. Adriano is no exception. They used to be able to mask this purely with talent, but now the world has caught up and Adriano is a symbol of this change or transition period.

Adriano case is different he said in an interview that after his dad died he barely trained and only drank alcohol and he didn’t even want to play anymore . He only did it before he was under contract . He didn’t love football anymore and was depressed from that moment . He talked about it

Watch the videos closely, he easily bullies Maldini but he never can with Nesta, on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. And it’s always been like that Nesta is a far superior defender than Maldini who just has better PR since he represented Milan and Italy with his captain armband.
