Beef is legal in Kerala, West Bengal, Sikkim and North East India except Assam. You get Buffalo meat as Beef in rest of India but it is a cheap meat in Muslim areas.

Those tukutuk drivers can't be all called scammers, just by looking at the uber fares. Uber fares in Trivandrum is not sustainable for the drivers. What are saying my mom used used to eat beef in her child hood , she was 8 or 9 years old she quit eating not only beef but whole non veg food because she saw the slaughtering live & got traumatized about meat. It was around 41-42 years ago, must be in the early 80s this incident happened. Even today she don't allow us to cook non veg in home and if we cook she won't touch that plates and utensils 😂, we have to prepare on our own, clean on our own.
