Thanks again for the lure. It's the only thing I am getting any bites on right now. I had the lake to myself this morning for a couple of hours but didn't get anything. I did catch another one by that same tree yesterday but it wasn't that big.

Friendly suggestion: I f you are going to be fishing in water below 60°, I strongly suggest getting a semi drysuit. I put it off for a year or two and just didn’t fish during winter. But I found a kokatat one on sale for $550 instead of $850 because it was a color they were discontinuing. If you fall in cold water, you could be in serious trouble quickly. There are lots of vids about it. Good luck, I’m enjoying your content!
I'll happily take that suggestion my friend. My wife was asking me a few days back about whether I should get one for the winter. TodayI was out, and it was 39°, and I definitely did not like the idea of falling in. I'll start looking into one!

If you want a cheap fish finder look at the Garmin Striker 4. You can usually find them for $99. It’s a perfect starter for a kayak. Or if you really wanna go cheap just buy a pool thermometer for 4-5 bucks and tie it to a short string. Bus the Garmin striker 4 Wil be a great way to start if you want a graph.
