So, the issue you were having with the tunnel was that you are fighting your cars momentum. Don't. Let your speed take you up and around the top of the tunnel, and then just loop around to the bottom after the turn.

One day you guys should go back and edit or remake tracks you previously made. Like this track with plastic instead of ice, and without cats, or with the alternating plastic and ice. Or just deleting the finish and making more track afterwards. Or doing a broken down or under construction version of old tracks. Or a restored/finished version of tracks that were previously broken down or under construction.
