Here's my experience with Tweedy: It started with MK11. First, let me say I'm a nobody, but I'm the person who figured out Jacqui 's BF 2 Krushing Blow in the corner without being at max range. I was hella excited because I've never figured out anything "new" in a fighting game, so I went to his stream on twitch to share the new tech with everybody. This guy said "It's probably whack tech and I don't wanna waste everyone's time" or something like that. I left his stream and went to DeKillSage's stream and told him about it. Sonicfox was at his house and they were playing DBFZ, but I knew Sonic plays MK. I told DKS to show Sonic and he showed him right there on stream. They stopped playing so he could show Sonic real quick and Sonic said "wtf, that really works?" The point of saying this is that Tweedy is full of himself because people know who he is and thinks he's above the people who nobody knows. Why did DeKillSage listen to me and STOP playing to show Sonic during a Dbfz stream? Tweedy needs to get off his high horse because he's not as righteous as he thinks he is. I'm not a KZbinr, but the short clip of my discovery is on my channel. Rooflemonger commented on it too.

Tweedy IS a shill. He has been praising MK1 like the second coming of Christ since day 1 despite the game's issues. Even when the game has blatantly obvious problems he still posts up videos praising the game and completely ignoring the problems. He also keeps posting up videos about "has saved MK1" every time a new DLC character is released. The problems in MK1 are going to take a hell of a lot more than extra characters to fix, and Tweedy is too much of a NRS/WB D sucker to realize this. Saying that adding more characters will fix MK1 is like saying replacing the tires will fix a car that has a faulty engine. The entire game needs a complete overhaul. That is the only thing that will "save" the game, but NRS/WB are not willing to spend the time and resources to do that.

I totally agree with Max's reaction to playing the game. I hopped back on yesterday, to check out Conan, and I thought let's level him up a bit, and some other characters, to unlock more content for them, and I literally played Invasions for half an hour and then I turned the game off again. Not fun. It's just not fun to play MK1. Whether it's Invasions or towers or online (I dislike online in particular), the game just isn't enjoyable to me. Also, there's so much content locked behind currency; I see a costume or a skin that I like and would like to have, and it's like that look for that character could maybe make me want to play the game some more, but you either have to grind Invasions for hours and hours to get the in-game currency to purchase the content, or you have to pay real money for it, and that's where I stop bothering. The game doesn't want me to unlock the content I like, because it's going to have me grind this mode for the longest time or make me pay actual money for it: and so I turn it off. It's like Max says: "I'll just go play something else, instead".

Though I still play the game, MK1 itself is very slow compared to the prior iterations. At the same time, for me personally, I like MK11 because of the art style they did for the characters and MKX due to the fast paced action. However, I don't like it when certain content creators are not honest with themselves in regards to how they feel realistically about the game. Not every game is going to be outright flawless.

@@manrightchea i was flying my nano copter today and my corgi just hid behind me until the battery went dead i had to charge it. batteries in nano copters only last 20 minutes because they are so tiny so i have to charge them afterwards but at lease it came with 2 battery packs and i got rechargeable triple AAAs for the remote. if i had to say what its like its pretty much like flying a helicopter in vice city only using the analog sticks but harder because with vice city helicopters you can lean it side ways but real life helicopters you cannot lean them or tilt them sideways you have to only rotate the direction they are in and go forward which is hard to get use to at first. gotta check the rotor screws alot too since dust bunnies wrap around it and stop the tail rotors from spinning. the tail rotors are almost the size of a penny.

In my experience, the NRS community is the most unwelcoming, abrasive and toxic positive community of all the fighting games I've played. I'm only an online player and I've never been to any of the events but all of the back n forth, ad hominem and drama have convinced me that I should never go to any of these events. To be fair it's not just the NRS community on twitter that I find off-putting but there does seem to be a disproportionate amount of vitriol coming from that direction.

I'd still say Tekken 8 is better quality than Tekken 7. That game was put together on a shoestring budget and had the benefit of an arcade run for balancing. T8 the production is finally on a higher level imo. I totally agree that anyone hating on the monetisation tactics and battle passes are really bad both as a concept and in T8's execution. It's still a really fun game and will grow, which isn't what I could say for MK1, sadly. Floyd is a great addition, tho.

I recently dropped MK1 and switched over to Tekken 8. Im ~100hrs in and im having a blast, i regret nothing. The gameplay is imo more fun, better story mode, better customisation etc. Of course this game also has its flaws but i think they build a solid foundation to build on which i can't say for MK1 unfortunately. The jukebox and the customizable start screen are great additions!

Thanks for taking the time to include my comment in the video. I see your point about why you wanted push back. But hopefully you get where I was coming from. Basically like you guys wouldn't want a stream where everyone hops on then kisses your ass. That would be an insanely boring stream. Having some arguments and opposing discussion is what makes things interesting. I know you guys would love an alternate timeline where MK is doing well but unfortunately that's not the case. Off topic: i remember people hating the sc5 roster. I mained nastu/taki and ezio, and i thought it was ok. I think people hated the lack of single-player content tbh.

Yeah, the game seemed rushed in a lot of places. I enjoyed the combat but outside of that, there wasn't much.

@RealMikeHollow I think it was the best implementation of the meter system for sc. If Sc5 had more single-player content. I would argue it would have been the best SC all around. The online was pretty solid.Taki fans might kill me, tho.

Well, in Tweedy's case when they say it, they mean he's being positive about the game even if he doesn't feel it deserves praise to remain in the good graces of the developers in hopes he gets hand outs or opportunities.

Are we showing twitch numbers again ? A day before the patch dropped for MK1 it was topping tekken8 and sf6 by over 600 viewers. And max WAS NOT streaming it. i took the screenshot and saved it because i knew someone was going to bring it as an argument. I don't know about other communities, but in the MK community a hater is seen for when someone is constantly talking about MK and doesn't even have more than 50 hours on the game. You make critique videos about all those other games but you play them, you don't play MK1. Maybe take the advice you gave Tweedy about not engaging with things you don't like and apply it yourself. I enjoy your MK content when there is constructive criticism involved that makes sense. Maybe you expand beyond that and stream some MK1 gameplay.

1. Tweedy has focused more on drama than the game HE WAS LITERALLY GONNA BOX PUNK. So its literally hypocritical to make that claim. I hope he does go on live tho It be interesting to see what he has to say. 2. Playstation doesnt Post their player numbers for ANY game, so although Mk1, and sparking zero are "dead" on Pc they are really lively on console. Sf is kinda the opposite, and Tekken is somewhere in the middle of both platforms.

You know what the problem is with the MK community Because their game is always being ridiculed and look down upon compared to the rest of the FGC community biggest so defensive when people bring up any type of criticism that's even remotely valid. As a Tekken fan I've watched a bunch of people complain about Tekken and some things I agree with some things I don't but you'll never hear me get so up in arms about someone's opinion on Tekken 8 because at the end of the day it's just a game and also I can see where they're coming from.
