The 2-tire call looked like it was going to work out really well. The truck started responding to adjustments, and that makes me even more hopeful for these next few races!

Not really. She lost 5 places before the wreck after the restart. Guys were flying around the higher sides not the low. She also didn't have a fast truck. Coupled with only 2 tires when others took 4... she would have been back to 20th. There is something missing. Sadly, and I am a fan and hate to say it, she needs to change her driving style to push the edge.

When the guys are constantly intentionally spinning her out because they don’t like a girl in their sport beating them, it’s not that easy. When you’re racing in the younger age groups the boys don’t care about her being a girl, but they do at the top levels. It’s obvious she has the skill set to be top 10, but it’s racing and if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.

That’s a tough break, she was definitely up in the top 10. The biggest thing I notice is her crew chief and team are constantly telling her to be aggressive over and over. He said it 2-3x in just this video during the race. She definitely seemed way more aggressive in her K&N days, when you gotta fight with everything you got to keep your spot in the race seat. Not sure how or if that can be taught but they are constantly telling her to be more aggressive. It’s not easy to win at this level, but it definitely takes a good team/car, some balls and taking chances to get there

Your spotter is excellent! He coaches and motivates really well. He knows your a racer, knows how capable you are, gives you great information, and you can beat these guys! Do you practice pit stops? That seems to be what sets you back often. You gain so many spots on track and lose even more in the pits. You get a handle on that and I bet your up front more often on restarts. Yes and no. She deserves that seat. Well actually her racing style is better for Xfinity. But she needs a little faster truck (Thorsport hasn't had all 4 running and finishing in top) she needs to change her driving style to tackle the edge more. 5 cars passed her on the outside on that restart but she wants that bottom.

You do understand that she doesn’t have it as easy as the other guys do, right? Don’t be naive and act like she isn’t a top 10 driver. The problem is these redneck idiot drivers that hate a girl being in their sport and up there running with them. No guy wants to hear “you got beat by a girl” and they will do what they need to make sure that doesn’t happen. Just because she is a good driver doesn’t mean she’s going to run up front, it ain’t that easy, and when you’re running 10-15th place, wrecks and shit happen. If you actually go watch most of her races where she crashed, it wasn’t on her at all 90% of them. Either just wrong place wrong time or guys turning her. What they need to do is start actually penalizing these idiots driving wreckless and they need to grow some balls and race her right and give her a legit chance.

I have to think a hard left would have saved you getting hit. He was coming and you gradually went left to try to avoid him but I think just breaking it off harder to the left would have been the ticket for you.even if it caused you to spin atleast you could have avoided the bog damage and lined up again. But that neither here nor there at this point. It's easy for me to say that but when your in the heat of the moment it's a a but tougher to make that quick decision although I guarantee your spotter was screaming left left left and he knew you had the whole infield to get away but it is what it is. Your gaining valuable experience just being up front even though you usually fade pretty quick I'm praying eventually it will pay off and you will learn how to race with the leaders who are usually the cream of the crop in any series . Keep up the hard work Hailie Wailie you've had way better luck this season compared too the last two and that's great. It just got you this race but don't let it get you frustrated get right back up there and do your best to fight to stay up front top 5 top 10 and learn from the better drivers.Its the only way to learn in my awesome opinion haha.
