Gabriel Pinski, grandson of Yiddish writer Dovid Pinski, explains that his grandparents did not speak any Yiddish with their son, Gabriel's father, and how he never heard Yiddish at his grandparents' home unless their peers were visiting. Gabriel then explains how he learned a bit of Yiddish himself later-patching together his German from school and the Hebrew he learned through Israeli folk dancing.
