I wish all the teams very best in the RWC. This world cup will be a belter. All the teams are at their best. All the forms of teams are brilliant. As an All Blacks fan I hope they will win the trophy. All blacks forever. Also i hope springboks will come to the semis. ❤️🔥🇱🇰🤝🇿🇦🇳🇿

Honestly think Ireland win the whole thing. Some of the Rugby they were playing during the 6 Nations was unreal

Hate to say this, but they kinda have this dark cloud to overcome mentally first..i think they will choke in the quarter final. But yeah. Great team

…most certainly, if they do, NOBODY can fault the fact that their Game is top notch and that, if so, it WILL BE WELL DESERVED: INDUSPUTABLE FACT‼️

Lol the World Cup a different beast to the 6nations Ireland are good it means nothing if they choke in the quarters again that’s if they beat Springboks and Scotland to even make it out the group stages

Ireland looks very good but I think the tournament will be having the France/New Zealand matches be it's bookends.

South Africa, NZ and France, Scotland. If any of those teams win their first game, theyre pretty much through to Quarters. Ireland, have Scotland last game of pool which will mean they need to win 4 in a row to life Webb Ellis. Other side of rhe draw will also ne tricky because of those teams are equally rubbish. Might hit a wall when Quarters or Semis hit. Going to be a very interesting WC.

RWC 2023 will be won by South Africa / New Zealand / France , unfortunately the rest won’t have the talent the wider squad to win

Have a feeling scotland and ireland will make it out of the group and scotland will reach the final. I think theyre gunna create an upset even though theyre a superb team atm. As an England fan i hate saying that but i think its gunna happen. England.. well.. were f****d.

England and Wales are the 2 tier 1 nation's with most to fear I think. They have every chance of getting done over by a Japan / Samoa or Georgia / Fiji
@iant193 Жыл бұрын
Wish this wasn’t true but totally right. For years Wales’ achievements (of which there were a lot) were all based on bringing others down to a level. They could never come close to the all blacks, but could take the others down with them to a lower quality slugfest (so could beat SA periodically and win 6 nations). It’s not that they don’t deserve huge credit but they never had as high a ceiling as the other tiers 1’s in the NH and SH. England for a while had enough talent that you felt they punch up and beat anyone (once a decade we’d beat the all blacks for example) but mostly underachieved. Now it feels like that potential is mostly gone, and we have a lower ceiling than the rest, like wales. I’d say at this point it’s not just that NZ SA AUS (yes, Aus) IRE FRA SCO and Arg are better than England, I also feel they’ve got more potential than us too. So as you say, we should be looking behind us at Fiji (who looked good against France and I feel should beat England this weekend) not ahead at the tiers 1’s above us

I should say, I’m not outraged or disgruntled, it’s just where we’re at. Still enjoy supporting England. Whereas most fans get upset by a lack of results, I don’t really care about that. But the lack of potential (there are still some good players but fed up of people pretending “ if they just click they’re world beaters “ based off a 6 nations Grand Slam 7 years ago against mediocre opposition) and the horrible style with which we play (and the new coaches with all the personality of an empty tube of toothpaste, and who are somehow incredulous at all criticism) has me a bit down. First time I’m less wrapped up in how England do and much more excited to watch other teams play high quality games

@@iant193 The only three countries in the world who have a right to be the best are South Africa, France & England. All others are minute in comparison, have a fraction of the funding and have player bases that shouldn't ever be able to compete. The fact that England consistently underperforms is shocking. Their current coaching setup is now so unbelievably poor that you can't imagine them turning things around anytime soon. I agree partially with your point regarding Wales determining how a game is played and playing to their advantages - but then that is the key task of any team. Wales had a lot of world class players during the Gatland era. It was a bit of a phenomenon for such a small nation: Alan Wyn Jones, Faletau, Shane Williams, Liam Williams, Jonathan Davies, George North, Tipuric, Adam Jones, Warburton and so on. In 2011 they should have been in a World up final, and at the end of Gatland's era they went into the 2019 World Cup as No.1 in the world, having won their last 18 competitive (not including warm-up) games, including multiple victories against all of the tier 1 nations, except New Zealand. They lost 12 players through injury due to having played Georgia, Fiji, Australia & France leading up to the semi-final where they lost to SA, who won easily against England in the final. They lost to SA by 3 points in the final kick of the game. SA lost to NZ in the opening week, then rested their first team for the remaining 3 pool games against Italy, Canada & Namibia, and quarter final against Japan. You could argue again that Wales would have been in the final if they'd had an easy run to a semi-final, and they probably would have won that final. Wales have had a dip in form since 2019 - due to Gatland leaving but predominantly because the greats of old have now gone. 2019 was their last hoorah, and they came oh so very close. To say that their ceiling was lower than other NH teams is an interesting statement, and to suggest that Wales & England are in the same position now, is, I would say, untrue. Wales played 45 players during these 3 warm-up games and never had more than 4 or 5 first 23 players on the pitch at any one point. The one game that they did have 5 first 15 players on the pitch was the the first game where they comfortably beat England, and should have won by 20+ points. They are using this time, and will use the World Cup, to build a squad for the next 5+ years, whereas England need a total reset.Things are set to get worse before they get better. Wales, Ireland, NZ and others punch up. England aren't allowed to claim that title.

@@TrezenEN I see what you mean, and I don’t think we’re far off agreeing, but simply not making quite the same point. I also appreciate my point was an indictment of England but also brought Wales down with us a bit harshly, though actually I was just agreeing with the original premise that England and Wales both need to worry about Tier 2 Nations. I agree the Welsh team playing the way they did was the right thing to do, but my point is they still did it. They won a lot, but people talk about beating other teams as if those teams are at a fixed point of ability; my point is not that Wales never beat NZ, it’s that they never came close, as NZ were so much better, while other Tier 1 countries troubled NZ periodically. The Welsh bring other teams down into dog fights (that’s how they played so well in the World Cup Semi final vs SA (I also don’t think you can say Wales would have won that final. England had mashed NZ in the semi, but simply couldn’t replicate it two weeks in a row; if Wales had snuck the SA game, there’s every chance they also wouldn’t have been able to replicate it in the final, it’s all a bit too ifs and buts)). While I agree that England need a total reset, I think Wales do too. Between enormous financial difficulties, Toxic problems with the WRU, players going on strike and a relative dearth of new talent it’s a bit of a disaster. England's problems are as bad, but I don’t think you can say slightly better World Cup warms up player management (in the process of getting mashed by SA and beating a poor England team who were playing at best 4 starters to your 5, though granted our starters also suck) has really suggested a bold new future for Wales I’m afraid. That said, while my point is that both countries are in a lot of trouble, I totally agree that England has wayyyyyyy less justification for its decline than Wales.

Would not listen to Matt Giteau on rugby I have mNet Met Giteau twice and watched several games in person when he played. Not impressed. Giteau is quite the Next Tuesday in my view, condescending and belittling, and it is not surprising players and coaches cold to him. I would not rate teams with which Giteau is involved
