What a great story, jeez. There was definitely a lot more to him than his no-hitter. Good stuff

Such a shame he’s only remembered for his no-hitter under the influence of drugs He accomplished so much more in his career… still mostly under the influence of drugs but which 70’s Pirate didn’t

I'm Surprised you made a Dock Ellis video, As a Pirates fan It's a Surprise that others still remember him!
@nomorefielders2 жыл бұрын
1st. I’m very sorry. I know being a pirates fan these days isn’t easy 2nd. Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate the support 3rd. I’m honestly surprised this video hasn’t been made yet, but it does seem like everyone gets so caught up in the no hitter that they overlook how much of an interesting character Dock was. It was honestly a joy to make this.

You should do a video on Dick Allen. Shakeia Taylor wrote an amazing article about him and his refusal to go along with what was expected of him and play nice when it came to racism in the clubhouse and from fans, and I think his story needs to be told more often

Pretty sure he hit the first FOUR Reds in that game before Murtaugh hauled him out of there(Rose,Morgan,Bench,Perez;not sure of the order;in a book I have). Anyway,it is relevant to his personality:''We gonna do the do. I'm gonna hit those motherfuckers.''
