My headcanon is that Kazuma's good luck probably prevented it from landing it onto a densely populated city. Aqua's bad luck probably made it land on it an important person's mansion 😂 The important thing is that every character is powerful but useless alone. They're dysfunctional as a team from the start but has learned to work together in a way so they seem more powerful in some way.

Brief history of the destroyer. Long story short the man who made it killed a real spider and accidentally did it in the paper which is suppose to be the blueprint of the destroyer. Due to the value of paper back then, he was only given one piece and he just gave the paper dead spider and all.

So Aqua is OP as can be, she could probably stop the demon king on her own if not for her bad luck and her total insuffiency of wits. Atm Wiz would be by a far more useful member of the group than Megumin for she can do explosion magic on the crimson girls level without being completely wasted - and she has no objections to do other magic as well. The reveal of Darkness´ family background shows that there is more behind here than just being a masochist who has found a fitting profession as living shield.

Yes Kazuma with his good luck on teleporting the core but Aqua was right there with her bad luck to skew the landing, always two steps forward ans a horrible slide backward. Will Kazuma ever get out of the hole? Oh, beware episode 11 is actually an OVA and if you think episode 9 was ecchi, OVAs tend to get wilder than the series so be warned.

When it comes to the OVAs for each season, they are flipped... at least from my point of view. OVA2 Makes a ton more sense at the end of this season because it deals with content from this season. OVA1 makes more sense because it involves a character you meet in Season 2 and one of her comments in OVA1 makes more sense when considering content in the last two episodes of Season 2.

It is exactly why they suffer so much, Aqua has such bad luck that anyone near her always loses. Every now and then Kazuma catches a break and occasionally overrides her misfortune. Also, his team can be overpowered but due to their stupidity or incompetency it just leads to their abilities being completely useless.
