Well Cheetu kept fucking around until he found out. While his death was a bit anticlimactic, it was also kind of fitting. It happened so fast, he didn't see it coming.

That's the thing about Togashi, he's willing to build something up just for it to be a punchline. E.g. Hisoka / Chrollo. The fact that it was anti-climactic is the only way it could've been funny. Watch / read Level E, Togashi's always been a troll.

@@X3MAntics Togashi is very good at breaking tropes. Thats why HxH shouldn't be among the first animes to watch given that people still doesn't know and reconize the tropes in question. Like the fighting tournament during the hunter's exam. Everybody should know what a tournament arc is when thats happening and Togashi just ups and swoop that in a second.

Not gonna lie, I'm so glad Cheetu gets killed like a nothing bug. I HATED him, reminds me of Steve from Resident Evil Code Veronica, which is my #1 all time most hated character and you probably agree if you know what I'm talking about.

The manga actually had a timer for the Shoot vs Youpi fight that counted down to the milisecond. Shoot's fight was only around 18 seconds vs Youpi. Killua saving Ikalgo and getting to the roof with Gon was less than 10 seconds. A lot of scenes are happening concurrently too. Pouf's little breakdown was all in his head and didn't last more than a few seconds either.

at the start of the Palace Invasion, Zeno talked about how when fighting powerful opponents, time is dilated, basically the phenomenon of "anime time". He also talks about when people are close to "death" time slows down and your life flashes before your eyes. He's basically saying "i encountered someone (the King) who was strong enough to make me fear for my life"

The 3 minutes thing isn’t really that crazy when you think about it, remember the events of episode 111 and 112 happened in like 10 seconds or even less ( especially ep 111 because most of it is about Netero flashback ), 80% of 112 and other episodes are about the characters thought process, like Pouf long monologue in the throne room or Shoot's monologue about Gon and so many example. In the manga there’s a timer in some of the pages to help understand how little time had passed

what confused them was Gon & Pitou scene which also has a lot of inner thoughts and narrations that basically lasts seconds in real time

It's crazy to me just how strong the kings guard are. Like they're struggling with Youpi but imagine if it were a blood thirsty Pitou in his place? I fully believe they'd all be dead by now. Scary.

Zeno saved them all by injuring Komugi. If Pitou wasn't occupied and basically benched for an hour due to having to heal Komugi, she would've torn the entire invasion team except Netero and Meleoron to shreds in a few minutes. ...spoiler... . . . . Gon was raring to fight her, but if she hadn't given him so much time to transform, there would've been nothing he could do.

I’m surprised to see you guys feeling sympathy for Cheetu, I’m so used to seeing reactors cheering for Cheetu’s death because they found him so annoying. He kind of reminds me of that one annoying kid who constantly picks on people and never knows when to stop playing around

First time in his life that his time was compressed. My guess is his life flashed before his eyes when the king walked right through them….3 minutes makes more sense than 30 minutes, in real life people barely can fight with maximum effort pass 10 seconds. In the anime world, they seem to fight at maximum speed and power or even increase both in speed and power, while exchanging blows, dodging lighting fast attacks through the entirety of the fights. The fight with shoot could have been 40 secs, with knuckle could 1m20sec, and another minute took place after that.

Time is compressed. It's the feeling you get when you're faced with a situation where you're going to die. When he faced the king, he knew that the king could just kill them, so he felt the time compression, that is, the feeling that the moment suddenly becomes eternity. And I guess the fact that so much happened in those three minutes is the time compression that almost all hunters feel, which means that the danger here is extreme.

I liked the beginning, mixing recap with a new scene. They should do that more often, so people can't skip it. Good adaptation except for the usual poor subtitles ("the day he escaped.."). 7:20 I also needed to do a double take but it's actually really not impressive since it only mentions stamina. Cheetahs are famous for being fast but tiring quickly. 9:20 Morgan inhaled some of the smoke. 😄 14:25 Post-nut clarity. 16:05 Morgan thought the same thing. 😂 16:46 Remember Zeno's interview, talking about Netero.
