My neighbor is 82 and still teaches, one of her sons lives with her but does nothing outside the house, the other borrowed her mower and never brought it back. I’ve been cutting her yard for 3 years because she was being overcharged when she paid someone. I don’t charge her but she will randomly bring over some Omaha Steaks or fresh cookies.

This is great stuff. Use to work with a landscaping company for about three years. There was this older man and his wife whose house we did every two weeks. He was diagnosed with brain cancer and was struggling to pay through that. Once we discovered that we talked to our boss and he agreed with us that we'd do his yard free from them on out. My understanding is it’s nearly universal practice to always give warnings before fines/liens, and always accrue lots of liens before a repossession. In extreme cases some houses could be deemed unsafe or unlivable by the government, so the grass may only be one minor issue of many problems, which is not uncommon.

Yes. I love to watch videos of good deeds. I don't care if they get paid for it. They should. They are actually helping a community and people and not even showing their faces most times. It's only cutting grass, but it's a feel good feeling. Yards can be a mess, especially for the older community.

@ivanel.. I 100% agree with your statement. It always good if someone makes money under win-win-win theory. That means both person A and B win with whatever their business is, but that win also benefits the society at large. That is of course the ideal way to earn and make a living in a society. I think this video is perfect example of this. Person whose lawn is mowed wins the benefit of having a trimmed lawn, person who mows it for free does it for free but then makes money via youtube. People who watch the videos on KZbin get themselves a lesson that being selfless and kind also pays you back in unseen ways.

The mower looks very manoeuvrable, showed when you were going around the 3 thin plants. It also seems to cut so well on the first pass that you didn’t have to redo areas. So glad for the homeowners that you were able to do this.

Abandoned properties attract critters and bugs. It does the neighborhood a favor by doing it. If it was me doing it, however, I would let the city or county know about and ask why they don't contact the property owner or bank, if bank owned. Sometimes a property ends up in probate and that can take years, but somebody should still be responsible for the property.

@@lightwavz my neighbor would pick up mowers from the side of the road, get em running again. and sell them for parts and a little extra. he one time had a mower that was maybe a year or so old and the owners just left it out in yard [much like the one we see unearthed in this video but a slightly bigger one ] so rain and the elements got to it and it wouldn't run anymore. he ripped apart the engine block. cleaned it and the carb, put it all back together, and sold it for a really nice profit because it was basically brand new. and the yard he picked it up from was cutting the yard at that moment with ANOTHER brand new one. senseless to me. take care of your machines and they'll take care of you. can't pay someone to do the yearly maintenance? can't blame you. go to the hardware store and change out the plug, the oil and the plug every year. DON'T cut grass when it's super wet and it'll last a lonnnng time. I'm on year 6 with my current mower. Toro of course. still running the original plug believe it or not though I do need to change it. the one before that was one that my uncle did a refurb on and gave to us. a toro that was probably 4-5yrs old when he got it, and lasted us another 20..25years.

This video was so awesome!!! That mower was like the Terminator!! An Avenger!! I love the way she blessed you over and over. The yard was hard and you tackled it head on, even with all the obstacles. You took great care with all her flowers and foliage, being meticulous getting in-between. You are blessed you are able to help so many people!! It looked great!
