Congrats on your pregnancy!! I am also pregnant with my first child and vegan but I have been eating meat as well due to cravings lol. I was on the same wave not wanting to take pills or anything and just get the vitamins and minerals from food and seamoss. I was nauseas in my 1st trimester and as soon as I took prenatals my symptoms went away! babies take 10% of your energy everyday and i didn't realize and I wasnt replenishing that energy enough. The prenatals I take are actually vegan. They are called RITUAL and they have lots of other types of vitamins but I really like that brand. if you look on their website, They actually breakdown what is in the capsules and how much. you can have them delivered like under a subscription based thing or you can buy them at target!

You’re making me miss Atlanta so much. I recently moved to Virginia for work but I remember when my dad would wake us up early and we’d spend the whole day in Little Five Points. We’d stop and get spelt biscuits with jelly from Sevenanda and watch the sunset at the little park over there. So many memorieeees❤️ And I’m lmao at the Steve Lacy comments. TikTok be fooling us💀🤣

Hey boo I’m so excited for you 🦋💜💜💜 for the prenatals I have a recommendation for you this brand called Ritual prenatals you should check them out online to see if it has what you need if you were looking for better option. I know some vegan girlies that used it during pregnancy as well 🙏

You don't want folic acid that's an artificial form of folate B9). Its a lot of whole food plant based products with natural folate. I would suggest you really research all of this stuff. That's one thing I regret not doing while pregnant three times over, not taking my baby health into my own hands... just listening to everyone else.

When you’re pregnant you have to eat meat. Farmers Market has great meat. You can even go to a local farm to see how they raise their meat and buy meat directly from a farmer .Also the baby will take the vitamins from you first meaning you will lack in vitamins before your baby. Vitamins always make me nauseous, so I definitely took chewable vitamins when I am pregnant. I don’t eat beef but every time I’m pregnant which I’ve been pregnant three times. I have three kids. I have eaten so much beef and whatever your body is craving you should look into that because that means that you’re lacking that nutrient.
@earthedNiseee8 ай бұрын
i️ do not think you have to eat meat. there are plenty of people who have given birth to healthy babies and were healthy themselves… that didn’t eat meat. like you said it is vital to give yourself the vitamins and minerals you need. with a plant based diet/vegetarian you have to take in more to make sure you are giving yourself and your baby those key nutrients but it’s not something that i feel you HAVE to have to be healthy. what works for you definitely is what works for you though. im glad you figured out what works best for you and was able to produce some healthy, beautiful children from honoring your body’s needs and your babies needs. stay love and light! ❤
@Danyellcarmelita8 ай бұрын
@@earthedNiseee You most likely will not be getting enough of certain nutrients, such as vitamin B12, omega-3s, and vitamin D, on a vegan or vegetarian diet. Without pregnancy, vegetarians and vegans, have to take a supplement. If you are a meat eater, you don’t have to take a supplement. For myself and my friends who have been pregnant, I have learned that meat is very important during pregnancy and I’ve learned that through my first pregnancy and I continue to see it in a lot of vegetarians. They start to eat and crave meat when they’re pregnant I think that’s for a reason. No judgment if you decide to not eat me with that said, I just wish someone would’ve told me in a very matter-of-fact matter when I was pregnant with my first earlier, because doctors told me to take iron pills instead of telling me to eat meat.
@kummbarehowens64888 ай бұрын
It's not true that just because you crave something that it means you need it. When having cravings during pregnancy, you're not craving the actual thing but the nutrient that it provides. A lot of pregnant women crave non edible things that are dangerous... it's called pica, like lead paint...what it means is that you're very deficient in some vitamin and or mineral and you should most likely talk to a nutritionist or even research yourself to find healthy replacements. If meat is a definite no go for a person there are plenty of natural replacements for iron, B12 or whatever else meat gives... I've actually just read that farmers will actually give animals B12 supplements. B12 is a bacteria and since we wash our food heavily and it gets sprayed, a lot of the times no one is getting a sufficient amount, including meat eaters. That's why a lot of packaged food contains B12. It's a lot of misinformation concerning iron and B12 and for that reason pregnant and non pregnant people need to be diligent and intentional when it comes to their health.

@@kummbarehowens6488 I’m not sure if you actually read my original response word for word.
@kummbarehowens64888 ай бұрын
@@Danyellcarmelita I did, but you also responded to another commenter saying that people crave meat for a reason and that we can only get certain nutrients from eating meat, or you will have to take supplements, which isn't true. (Unless I was misunderstanding what you were saying) If so my apologies. I'm not here to argue, it's just misinformation. People need to know both sides and then make a decision from there.
