uh choopo this beyond too late to mention this but the optimal deck for w101 is aoes blades feint your strongest spell the school specific star spell and the sun boosters for spells and blades... you dont need to put base prism in your deck every time nor pacify. its likly your time was that long

Imo, Arc 5 should be about previous worlds expansions and revisits since some worlds are barebones or too short, if they do go that route. These worlds would be my pick: 1.-Aquila expansion 2.-Wysteria expansion 3.-Polaris part 2 4.-Krokotopia part 2 5.-Wizard City part 2 Ambrose should be the Arc's final boss and it could be like a sparring match between him and the wizard.

I loved this series so much. I'm one of those kids who loved wiz101 but couldn't afford the paywall. Now as a college student I can afford the paywall but don't have people to play with to make the fights barrable. I'm so thankful to choopo for sticking through and letting me at least experience the main story that I've been craving for years.

As a player of Wiz since early 2009 (Life since day 1), I really enjoyed this series. Coincidentally when the first video was released about Arc 1, I just so happened to get someone into the game and was doing a walkthrough with them. So being able to watch these videos together as we progressed through the story was an absolute blast. Thankyou for doing these vids. It was hilarious, nostalgic and something I looked forward to from start to finish. W101 has a very loyal fanbase (with deep pockets too), so I don't think the game will be disappearing anytime soon. I hope as KI moves into Arc 5, Finnegan may one day make a return to spiral to continue their wizarding journey. Side note; you have technically become the new biggest Wizard101 content creator on KZbin.

When I was a kid and hit the pay wall, I stopped playing but told myself I’ll finish this game when I’m an adult. My family used to be very poor, now that I’m an adult I loathe greedy corporations and hope they all burn in hell so this is as good is gonna get. i'd say kingsisle is one of the least greedy corporations out there. they really cater to their players and genuinely take feedback for updates. they've kept up this game for so long because largely, i'd say it's a passion project. it's certainly not super profitable because the player base is super small, but kingsisle has definitely shown they really care imo.

Dude same! Even as a kid I felt that putting important stuff behind a paywall was scummy! I also got in trouble on Animal Jam because I said the developers were greedy and didn't care about us, the players. My fellow 7 year olds fought me over this.

Honestly my main issue is the paywall is way too early. Other than that i don't think they are too greedy about it. The pay to win is a little ridiculous but you don't gotta buy stuff to win. The monthly subscription sucks but you get ALOT of content out of it. I don't like it but I don't hate it either. And they do free membership events sometimes

I do have to say that just because a game company has you pay for a game, does not mean that they are a greedy corporation. they made a product that cost a lot of human resources to make so of course they are going to make you pay for the game, they still have to pay their own people to improve and make the game.

​@@spicedsoupI feel like this is kind of a complicated topic, since the monetization in Wizard101 is definitely predatory, but on the other hand most evidence suggests KingsIsle isn't actually making a massive amount of money from the game and are mostly investing their time and resources into it as a passion project, but on a third hand most people agree that one of the biggest hurdles to Wizard101 growing as a game is that the massive amount of predatory monetization makes it hard for new players to get invested.

Wow, the references are amazing! “Dasein” is a reference to the works of the philosopher existentialist Heidegger - when you talk about Wizard 101 maturing their narrative, it’s pretty hilarious to see Heidegger getting referenced along with Judge Dredd and Dick Tracy - hah!

It's a great pun as well. Dasein literally means "to exist" or "to struggle for existence". It was nothing, something that doesn't exist, and now it exists, it's something. That mixed with it also sounding like the English word "design" with it being a creator god is great word play.

Dasein is the word he coined similar to a human’s sense of self. Kinda weird but interesting it found its way into the game

As someone who would never have experienced this story on my own 'cause the difficulty spike in Celestia is just too damn high for me, THANK YOU for these videos!! Wizard101 is deeply nostalgic for me and finally getting to see all of the story in this relatively more digestible way is so satisfying! I do know the game is fairly long and I doubt I'll ever finish it (currently at the end of Emperya, think I'll probably beat it next time I get a yearly membership, whenever that is), but honestly the whole spiral is just interesting to hear about, glad someone was able to experience all of it and take something from it.

Sometimes I do feel like this game is one of those games you just had to start when you were a kid to really get the full experience. As someone who really focuses on the story (and is the reason I come back every year) it's really one of those games that I just can't shake off because I just want to know more about the world and the characters. Also some of my best friends I found through this game. Idk. It's an addiction but it's probably one of the better MMO's to be addicted to? Glad I stumbled upon this series a couple days ago! You really captured the overall vibe of Wiz. It's... a LOT. But dammit it is special and warts and all it has had and will always have a special place in my heart. I played as a kid, stopped for 7 years, and came back to play on and off up to this day. this made me SO nostalgic - i played the game for years and years when i was younger, all the way up to lvl 76 in avalon when azteca was still the newest world. it fills my heart to see where the full story went, and maybe ill just have to return to my old beloved balance wizard 🥰 frankly the grandmother raven stuff hit me a lot harder than i thought it would!! i always loved her as a character and as the narrator, but especially since her va's passing it feels bittersweet watching the conclusion of her arc. truly a voice that shaped my childhood, and for the better :)

I actually disagree with Karamelle being the worst world! In fact, it's one of my favorites. While I agree that it's a weak start to arc 4 and the cavities with the aberrant paradox take a bit too much of a backseat to the plot about overthrowing Nana, I liked the overthrowing Nana part a lot! I think that the enemy designs were creative, most (not all) of the new spells look really fun and cool. (to clarify on the spells- I think the arms on the life spell look goofy, and the death spell is just gross and useless. But, I really like the fire + storm ones, and the life spell isn't actually all that bad- just a little goofy.) The environments are interesting, I really like the Karamelle city skybox and finally getting to see Gobblestone was very cool. Nibbleheim is a good place to farm black lotus reagents, I *love* all of the cheats for the boss fights and enjoyed how challenging some of them were, with the exception of Copycat who I thought was very boring, and Judge Veg, who can heck all the way off, smh.
